It matters none how we set up our Kayfuns. Whatever makes people happy. They can vape their kayfun standing on their head for all I care...as long as it works for them.

Me too. Go with 30 gauge on your P2.5. 28 gauge is fine on the P3 because it has a boost feature but the P2.5 does not and it takes a little long to ramp up the heat. 30 gauge is perfect.
It's been quite some time since I tried the vert coil, based on the Schizm success with it I might have to revisit this build, I used cotton previously...I'll try it with rayon, love the stuff...and thanks for the shout-out Schiz.
Haha, you having me want to revisit a funny-wicked horizontal coil I used to like with rayon. Never did it with rayon, and I have just enough rayon left to try it.
I never stop having fun playing with Kayfuns. No other RTA I have does that.

Do you know if this top cap will work with a quartz nano kit on a KFL plus v2? ThanksVaperZon.com has these Nova caps on sale for $10, I bought a few and the quality is excellent and no taller than an SOV cap but will increase capacity 1-1.5ml.
I'm at 3 too Pingster. I was at 2 but upped it to three about two months ago and prefer it. Didn't you start at 2 as well?
I got something pretty cool for my KFL+ today. A Tarsius Customs Kayfun Easy Fill Top (which comes with a Stainless Top and Brass Top) and not only can you fill your KFL+ from the top, but it increases the amount of juice you can put in by 1/2ml. It's visually a bit more interesting than the standard KFL+ top and it's finished as impeccably as an authentic KFL+ is as well. I had to buy a new tip as well as the authentic KFL+ tip didn't fit properly, so I wound up getting a Stella top, which has a wider air opening as I prefer tip to lung vaping. And I have no idea why, but with the new top and tip, my KFL+ is vaping higher volumes of vapor. All in all, I couldn't be happier. Here are couple pictures:
New toys arrived today and the only thing KFL related is a replacement center post for my 3.1 and a bell cap for my Undead.

Yes that's it. And to fill it now, you just twist the top piece a couple turns, which reveals two fill holes. I was told to turn it upside down for a moment before doing this, fill, tighten it back to closed, then let it sit a few seconds before starting to vape. I noticed when I did it last night, the air hole got a teeny tiny bit of juice in it, but it wasn't anything significant and a couple vapes later and all was great.
This is an update to my earlier posts about the Kayfun Top Fill. I still love it, but after two fills now, I've realized top filling does break the vacuum a tad, so there will be a tiny bit of juice that will escape the air hole. It's not much of an issue, and it's very easy to turn it upside down, fire your mod button and blow some air through the air hole, but since I know at least one person has ordered this because of my glowing review, I felt I had to let you know this is possible.
All the things I really really like about this top are still true. It's nicer looking than the standard KFL+ top. It does hold more liquid. And why the vape is better is still a mystery to me, but it most definitely is.

Seems like there's a number of Kayfun users that don't like filling using the fill hole in the base, it's the only way I've ever done it, in over 2 years of Kayfun use I've never found myself needing to emergency fill in the field...I always have enough in the tank to get me out and back, and not a fan of holes in a top cap...but that's just me.
I haven't used my 3.1's for awhile, but I always filled from the top. Put my fingers over air holes. Never had a leak problem.

On Busardo's recommendation, I tried that... once.
Never again, after about 3ml of the 4.5ml in it came right back out, in very messy fashion.Don't really see the problem with filling from the bottom fill hole, or even with having to drain it in order to get to the coil -- that's what syringes are for!

Yeah I've got a couple of those tops that I got from fasteck. I have one installed on a KFL v2 base and one on a Kayfun 3.1 base. On the KFL, you do get some flooding and have to blow them out. On the 3.1 you don't get that at all. I think you just get some juice in the resivior cap, but you get absolutely no flooding or gurgling or anything like that. It's why I prefer the 3.1 to the KFL. I am just a base and a top cap shy of having another complete Kayfun so I think I am going to get another 3.1 base to use the top fill cap I already have and the top fill cap for a Kayfun 4 to try with the KFL, and see if that leaks any.

Yes...filling from the top is easy to do, but once in a while you'll get a little messy, either way you'll always need to purge whatever flooded the chamber by inverting and blowing it clear with a tissue or napkin handy, and on those rare occasions when I need to access the coil with a full tank it's easily sucked dry with an eye dropper or plastic nipple top bottle...but hey, that's the beauty of using Kayfuns...so many options to suit our fancy.
