I always wondered why there were not any clone Provari's...

there is ... the PloVari clon

however, I would bet it falls a tad short of being a true Provari killer ... and probably does not power a kayfun like the real deal.

I just ordered 5 of these bell caps to see how they work with original Kayfun decks.

Be sure and let us know how that turns out, because I'm getting more and more antsy to get a couple of those -- probably these: Kayfun Bell Cap by 1Q Vape | The Vape Source -- seems to be the best price I've seen.

Andria

ETA: has anyone seen a "Smoke" colored bell cap, similar to the Smoke M-tank? That would look good on my black kayfun!

Make sure you have some nano chimney tops or use a drip tip similar to the original, so the chimney top can slide up in it.

I have not seen any dark colored caps except for blue ones... You'll just need some dark grey juice. ;)

Well come to think of it... that blue one *would* look very nice on the blue iSticks. :D And I *have* been contemplating getting one of those, at MVS' battery-only price. ;)

Oh and speaking of the iSticks... and that mysterious ejuice I kept finding on them, when I remove the kayfuns. I decided that it really doesn't matter a great deal where that juice is coming from, because *any* ejuice that got down into the battery could be a very bad thing. So I just started using my 510/ego adapters, and flared cones, to keep the kayfuns up off the iSticks... problem resolved, mostly; still seeing a bit of leakage at the very bottom of the black one, but it may just be that it shows up better on the black, so I notice it more. It seems to be coming at times from either or multiple of the 3 possible leak spots -- airflow control, fill hole, and/or 510 connector. But it's not enough to make a mess, so I just wipe it up everytime I have to refill, or remove the kayfun for any other reason.

Andria, I don't think your Kayfun is leaking. From what I've read and from my personal experience with my new Authentic KFL+, they all get condensation on the bottom. It seems to be the nature of Kayfuns.

Yeah, I guess so; as I said, I think I just notice it more on the black, than on the brushed stainless.

This is how they look now, with the adapters and cones; could be a lot worse I guess:

Please correct me if I'm incorrect, those ISticks don't need the cones do they ?, I thought they had a proper 510 connector and take a Kayfun, or anything else for that matter without the cones...and I think they will concentrate the condensation you're experiencing.

It's when you put the kayfuns flush to the iSticks that the condensation becomes a problem, all over the top of the iSticks -- this way, the cones catch any wetness before it gets to the mod.

Ok...just FYI though, a little condensation won't hurt your mod in any way, swab the threads and top pin with a Qtip once a day and all good. Without the cones your connection will be much more solid as well, if you drop one it's likely to do more damage with...and look much cooler, IMHO.

If you like the look, go for it. But if it were me, I'd take the goofy Ego Adapter's off and wipe up the condensation at fluid filling time.

I just don't want any liquid seeping into the battery area. I had a seepage on my Vamo, and it still works, but this little "washer" looking dealie came loose, and now must be put back in, everytime I change the battery. Since I can't get into the iSticks' battery compartment, I don't want some unseen disastrous flood or gradual accretion of damage from seeped ejuice.

I'm currently looking for a box mod that has better ventilation for the bottom of the tank, but not finding much that seems like it would be an improvement over the little indentations on the iStick (30w). I just got the iSticks, so I'd like them to keep working, at least for a year or so; yearly replacement of 2-4 mods doesn't seem unreasonable to me, but any more frequently wouldn't be cost effective.

Does anyone get different flavors from different drip tips on their kayfuns? I am getting 4 different (but similar) flavors depending on what I use. The only difference between them is the size of the opening on the drip tips.

Yes, absolutely. The first pink driptip I got for my pink iStick was a straight, short one; I didn't care for it. I was still waiting on my genii style, so I got that pink Ming style -- immediate explosion of flavor. The genii's opening is so small that the vape tends to get a bit warmer than I like; that pink anodized Ming gives the best flavor by far.

Replacing all the o-rings fixed all the "normal" leaks, but I was still seeing that tiny bit of very dark liquid just on the top of the iSticks, and smeared on the bottom of the kayfuns -- even now, if I run my stainless or black kayfuns on my sigelei, which has the open well for the ego threads, I get none of that, so I'm leaning to the idea of it being condensed vapor that probably escaped from the airhole and once it got under the kayfun against the solid top of the iStick, could not evaporate.

I think I'm going to operate on the premise of it being escaped vapor that can't evaporate against the solid top of the iStick -- which gives me more info for the next box mod I buy, to ensure it has good ventilation around the bottom of the tank.

I have the same problem with liquid accumulating on top of my iStick. Been going in circles trying to find the cause of the problem. I don't believe it's condensation. The best I could come up with is that liquid is dripping directly into the hole from my wick - especially when using spaced coils - more of a chance for the liquid to drip down. Another possibility is that the ridge around the air hole is not raised enough to prevent liquid from entering the hole from the surface of the positive block. This problem is more pronounced with 2.5 mm coils. The cotton is thick and sucks up a lot of juice on to the positive block.

BTW, two of my kayfuns do not have any o-rings except on the top cap and the fill hole- no o-rings on the 510 connection. Is that normal?

That could be it, with the black one; I guess it's just a slightly different make from the stainless ones I have, which don't show any leakage on the bottom (even though they're all tobecos) -- but if I put them flush on the iStick, then there's juice all over the top of the iStick -- with those, I think it's condensation; with the black one, it might be that that ridge around the airhole just isn't tall enough.

All I know is that using the adapters and cones keeps the top of my iSticks dry, and since that's exactly what I was aiming for, it's a reasonable solution. There's still some juice on the bottom of the black one anytime I take it off, but it's not getting to the iStick, so that's a win.

Where do I get a Ming, from Fasttech here? $1.78 Hybrid Ming Vase Drip Tip at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

And pardon the silly question, what is a hybrid drip tip?
