Kayfun mini V3 - no atty error

Hey all,

I have a KFMV3 clone that has stopped working.

Each time I try to put a coil on it keeps giving me no atty type message. I've recoiled several times to no avail. Sometimes it will register and jump ohms and then no atty.

What can I do to troubleshoot the actual kayfun base? I believe my coils are spot on and connected well to the posts.

Any help is appreciated.

I personally don't buy clones, but my wife just bought 2 from 3f vapes and both have that issue. I messed around with them and couldn't figure it out. It had something to do with the bottom plate. I swapped parts between the 2 and did get one working. Have you tried rotating the bottom plate? On the authentic it doesn't make a difference, the connection is the same in any plate rotation, but the clone is just not machined as well and every turn of that plate revealed a different height of the 510 pin.

This clone definitely went south on me... threading went to crap. One of the black models on FT.

My others work flawlessly so chalk it up to luck of the draw.

Thanks for the info though, may come in handy on others.
