Hello! I recently got a Kayfun Prime and am running into a rather annoying issue. My coil keeps popping, rather violently. I’ve tried every reccomendation I’ve come across so far, as well as extensive experimentation. Different resistances (0.74-1.26), coil diameters (2-2.5), wire gauges (28 and 26), spaced and contact coils. I’ve done a bunch of different amounts of wicking, from way too much, not nearly enough, and lots of (what I believe to be) just right. Tight in the coil and loose. Long tails, short tails and everything in between. I’ve tightened the 510 screw multiple times. I’ve used both the philips and flathead screws. Airflow and juice flow everywhere from all the way open to almost entirely closed. juice juice viscosities from 50/50 to 70/30. Even resorted to watching build tutorials and copying everything they were doing exactly, and still had this same problem. I’ve used the Kayfun Mini V3 without ever having this issue for quite a long time, and have been building for years. Other than this problem, it’s an absolutely amazing vaping experience, but this is really stifling it. I’m at a loss here, and it’s driving me crazy. Any help you can offer would be amazing. You've done all the main things I can think of, but I'm no expert. This is a bit of an off chance, but have you tried checking/tightening the 510 pin? Mine arrived loose. I don't think it's likely to cause popping, but I suppose if there were irregularities in the power flow it could.
Clapton's and twisted style coils are more prone to popping. Could be built up condensation in the chimney dripping back down and over saturating. Could try a 3mm built to get a little extra cotton in the juice flow try to slow wicking down a little.
I think those coils are prone to popping because it's harder to get full cotton contact within the coil....if you have enough cotton in a coil, the popping is usually minimal, but because of the irregularities in a clapton or like, it's a bit harder to fill and because those coils are a bit flimsy, most probably don't use enough as to not deform
