IMHO the vape doesnt change much.....


but it doesnt junk the coils as bad and the draw is alittle easier.


I run a 1.2 ohm 28 ga Nichrome.....get the bottom off the deck or the deck acts like a heat sink.

Yeah I just did it. It didn't change much at all maybe a little warmer if anything. The one thing I did notice is that with the vertical coil is that wicking is a whole new ball game. Seems like I getting more dryish hits. Well not really dry but by compared to horizontal coils if that makes sense.

I had the 18350 running a few 8 rap 3x twisted 30g 2.5mm coil at around .8 ohm for a few months in my taifun but notice one the 2 batterys started having sort run time, so got some 28g to try some 1-1.3 coils out. I had dual 6 rap 3x twisted 30g 2.5mm coils that came out to .3-.4 ohm in this kayfun an liked that but the vamped 18650 was sort lived before it when to 0v. So got some nimh 17650s an raise the resistance to ~2.3 an liked that but the batters dont last more than a few hours. more or less trying to find something to get me through a day of work, I got a aiolos tank to replace the taifun on the way and am finally getting a nemi nemesis. This 8 rap coil will do I guess but going to need to get a better wicking material than cotton an the ekowool I got is 2.5mm

I am satisfied with this coil now an these 18350 can got on somewhere, they do nothing but cause dissatisfaction. got one my 14650 jury-rigged into my 18650 mod an it hits a lot better on a 3.7v battery

How is it working out? Did you have to dremel out the juice wells to keep up with wicking?

I think the new version of Kayfun will have bigger airflow. It will be released soon. I almost doubled the Juice Channels now.
With this modification of mine, I'm getting MUCH more vapor, same Flavor, but less Throat Hit, a smother cooler vape. (unless I messed up on my E-Liquid, LOL)

Ok, that's why I was wondering... only giving dims can get confusing

Since this is mechanical... do you know what the sag is on the batteries under load or what the drop is from the mods? I'm guessing you don't have a regulated device for testing what desired wattages work well with this build.

overdose fake vtc4 an efest 950mah 14650

#14650 3.76v, no load 4.10v

I am thinking that #1 is bad or just not suited for the current draw... and #2 is simply not suited for the current draw. Do remember though, resistance of the mod encompasses the full path.

Thought I'd throw mine on this thread too. Fasttech gear: 4nine clone in 18500 mode with additional magnets making the switch perfect with just a tiny throw; and a Kayfun Lite v2 in nano mode - 1.25ohm coil wicked with Japanese cotton. This vapes so perfect for me. I've used this juice for over a year in various tanks and mods and have tweaked the sweet spot. I bought a few backups so that I can replicate this if something fails, but plan on getting the authentics hoping they are built to last.
