Only time I hear a ticking is when the batteries are real down in power or when I keep pressing the button when the batteries are at the cutoff, when the device wont fire.

Have you tried another freshly charged battery? I had one of my 18350 batteries die on me. I just didnt charge anymore and I heard the ticking.

Yes indeed. Have tried several batteries all tested with volt meter prior to use. Batts are ~4.15 volts. Not that it matters but I'm using a Roller. As soon as I insert battery and screw bottom cap on it starts ticking. When I fire device it works-ticking goes away. Let off the button and more ticking. I suppose we'll see what Evolv has to say...

0.8 ohm dual coil? The kick2 has a 6 amp limit, wouldn't you be blowing that out of the water with that set up? Probably what the ticking is... A single 0.8 ohm coil is 3.7 amps. If you're running two 0.8 ohm coils you'd be double that, unless you're running two 0.4 ohm coils, in which case you're even worse off.

No, no. That is the total ohmage. It's two 1.6 ohm coils.

put it in a bottom switch mod and fire it without an atty. you will get the same buzzing. in a top switch it is completing the circuit so the kick stays "ON". in a bottom switch when its fired it turns "ON" then starts looking for a load and delivers power once load is found. in a top button it is looking for a load all the time but cant find it till the top switch if activated. once i get my simplicity kick ring for my 18650 the dingo roller will be retired for a bit. i still really like the top button on the dingo, never a misfire and always working great.

It's not a bother I'm just concerned now about long term durability of the kick module if its ticking over constantly. Hope to hear back from Evolv soon

Tick Tick Tick .....I have owned a lot of Kicks and now own a Kick2......................Never heard a ticking, something very wrong there?
