Android. Want to watch SportsDevil on Amazon Fire Stick.
I do, the way I do it is we have a separate router with openVPN for the fire boxes, Nvidia shield, and my htpc/steam box. The regular router functions as normal.

I have Sports Devil and it has an update available but haven't bothered to update. It has been set to not update automatically by SS but the update is there if I want it. Everytime I have gone there all I see are foreign games so I don't use it. Same with Mobdro I have it but haven't updated it. Course it is not a Kodi addon. The update is there and available just don't use it.

Also Kay Real Debrid is not a big deal to set up and if you want HD it is great. Trakt is also easy to set up and the nice part of it is instead of going to search on your box and typing in a movie without really knowing who is in it you go to their website on your computer and either search it or got through their enormous lists of movies and click on the movie and it takes you to a complete lineup of info, whos in it, who wrote ,who produced it, reviews by other viewers. You set up personal lists which takes about 2 min then when you find something you think you like you just add it to your list. I have 2 lists TV and Movies. After it is authorized in Exodus, Specto, Zen and a couple of others when you open that addon and go to the right section all the movies or TV shows you put on your lists are there. Real Debrid costs $3 a month if you take a 6 month subscription, it is not necessary but is fantastic for HD. I nearly always get a 1080 stream with Dolby 5.1 sound, no hunting around for a solid one. It works probably 95% of the time. If you don't care if you watch it in SD or you want to try to find an HD of your own you can do it. It just makes it easy for me. All streams are not created equal.

The other nice thing is when they do an update it used to be since you get a fresh copy of Kodi everytime you do and update with their updater you used to have to go in and authorize Real Debrid and Trakt again. They wrote the code into it now that you have the choice of keeping your customizations and permissions so you get a fresh copy of Kodi and it saves your stuff. The addons like Gary said update themselves. Thats why when you start Kodi you wait about 5 min before you go to an addon. If any of the addons have updates they usually will do it about 3 min in. Also very important to shut Kodi down properly and give it a chance to do it's backups and what ever else it does behind the scenes. Thing can get ugly if you just go to Home or shut your box down with out allowing that everytime.

The updates they do are not addon updates they are tweaks and also some addons die and others evolve and it gets rid of the dead ones and puts new ones on. Some addons are kinda flaky and a lot harder to get a good stream on then Exodus or Specto or 1 Channel but they will work most of the time eventually. I don't care for live TV on most but haven't tried USTVnow. Some people swear by it but I have Dish for network.

A few of the addons that come with it are pretty finicky but have some obscure content on them. I just don't choose to use them the music addons I don't care for but because it comes with Google Play Store I use Pandora or Spotify and put up with the commercials. Don't use it for music very much. Actually I use my Roku for Pandora and Spotify and the quality for music is much better. Also the 4k channels they have are flaky too and don't work very well. I've tried them but don't use them. Just something to play with.

Just for the heck of it I tried some of the addons I've never used. Watched a swimming thing in Russian I believe it came from Bologna but the channel was something .ru. Writing in the commercials looked Russian to me. Man they have as many commercials as us. It was a live stream on Sports Devil and worked good and I haven't even updated. I'm watching a Pink Floyd concert called Delicate sound of thunder. Looks old and in 3D my tv is not 3D so I'm getting double pictures but thats how 3d comes through if you don't have 3d . It's taken off of YouTube.

Hubby and I bought a Roku and we have an antenna for local stations and Netflix and Hulu. Damn ATT charges us $80 for internet now that we are ditching their cable but overall we'll save $60/month which is a bunch for us - hmmm more vaping equipment?

Anyway here is what I need help deciding. How to record from the TV. Netflix says they allow it but you only get to keep the recording for 48 hours. I like to record for later viewing and also used to set the DVR to record ahead of time. From my research it appears there are 3 choices: DVR through cable (which I cant do after we ditch them), buying a DVD recorder, turn a PC into a recorder. Can someone help me please.

With kodi you'll get netflix and hulu shows. So the question would be... why would you want to record anyway? They're always there.
Sorry. Didnt make it clear. Most of my recording is from CBS shows (NCIS, Blue Bloods). Sometimes I'm not home when the new episode plays so the DVR has been set up to record those shows and I can watch them later.

I also would like the option to record for example a netflix movie that is on its last days before they discontinue it and I didnt get to watch it. Clear as mud?

That's true on Kodi but not Netflix or other subscription addons. On Kodi you can find just about anything no matter what year it came out there will usually be some stream that still has it. Plus recording on Kodi is illegal.
