I figure Kodi boxes are like flavors. Everyone has their favorites. I'm happy with mine Iffy is happy with what he has Gary is happy with what he has Ken is happy with what he has so everyone is happy. You can get them from $20 to $350+. I've never even heard of most of the streams that are shown in the pic @Iffy. The only one I have is Openload. But I use RD and evidently they don't have an agreement with them.

I also see on the Kodi download page you need Windows 10 to load it on a PC. Nope, all windows 7 here. We have Dish for TV and an antenna for local channels.

Kathy, to my understanding, Kodi 17 (Krypton) requires Win10 on a PC. Otherwise, Kodi 16.1 (Jarvis) is good-to-go in most Win environments.

Not sure. Could well be incorrect...

Wut um eye missin? U kin download da confluence. Go to skins... get more. It'll download a few and confluence is one of em. Just install it.

Confluence is da Jarvis default. Xonfluence has more menu elements, but not a Kodi default...

Think he'z talkin like real debrid and the facsimiles thereof.
Oh OK yeah I'm happy with it Trakt is just something I like it's free and makes it real easy to find movies on the computer and put them in your list to watch and they come up on about 5 of the popular addons. For me really easy and I can read what the movie is about and whos in it and then I can decide if it is something I would be interested in. Oh and also if there are tickets available which tells me it probably isn't available to watch unless it was up for awards then some you get screener streams and they are good.

Pat, I'm not trying to be an adversary; just an alternate alternative...
Oh yeah I know Iffy didn't take it that way. You're right too and there are alternates that seems to work just great from what I've read and that's great. I almost tried one, I didn't but I'm sure I would have been happy also with that. It beats the heck out of what I had, Like I said everyone seems to be happy with what they have so I hope Kay makes the decision that will make her happy too. I don't want to see her spending more then she needs to either.

QUOTE="2legsshrt, post: 19199079, member: 20705"]@oldbroad was that you on the FB group Kay? Sure sounded like you.

Yep and every season ever made also.

You mean the SS Facebook? Wasn't me...

why? Was there bad language and snarkiness and dumb questions?

:D[/QUOTE]
Nah she just sounded like you having a smart tv and wanted to know about the SS box and if it is worth it. Of course on that site everyone is predjudiced but most are like me and have never tried anything else. Just curious.

My problem is out here there is no Internet available. We have an unlimited phone plan on our phones and we tether our computers for Internet access. We had DSL years ago but canceled when we got the phones. Now AT&T says it's no longer available. So no wired Internet access available here. Don't want to loose the use of a phone to watch TV.

I also see on the Kodi download page you need Windows 10 to load it on a PC. Nope, all windows 7 here. We have Dish for TV and an antenna for local channels.

If you have a smart tv you can probably mirror your PC screen on to it.

Yes, we can do that. The problem here is no wired internet access, just our phones.
All you need to do it get a home router just like you were going to connect it to the internet.
Then don't.
Set it up without connecting to an internet box, and all your WIFI devices can use it to talk to each other.
