Hey Jack. I have my very first BF, a purple metallic REO Grand, on its way to my door. I can't wait. :)

Contrary to what Nutz keeps trying to tell everybody, purple is not a manly color. (Of course that doesn't apply in your case so you're probably really going to enjoy it.)

Don't over look using the Killer on your Reo... they're... well, they're a killer as a BF atty. (I just remove the adaptor and screw it right on. (Squonking is a little different than say an ERA/Hornet. 2 or 3 quick squonks instead of long slow ones and you're ready to go.)

WIN!

So I was bored and had nothing to do. I'm finding as a vaper when I'm bored with nothing to do I rebuild something lol.

So went to wrap a twisted 32 coil on my AGAT2 and saw I was out of twisted wire. So I got out my drill and a light bulb in my head turned on.

I thought 'I can just make the hole in that damned top cap bigger!' So I grabbed the biggest bit I had which was just a bit smaller than the hole in the top cap and fired the drill up and just put pressure on until it was just big enough to fit in.

I had to use a bullet drip tip I had to buy myself the 3mm or so that I needed but it seems to be working. I've only had about 5 drags on it but so far no dry hits and no leaks that I can see.

Nice going. It's amazing how simple some solutions can be. :)

I thought you had to have the adapter on it to work. Alice said it was WAY too airy without it.

I like an airy vape, all my ERA/Hornets, Chalice are drilled out to 1/16th. Alice told me that without the adaptor the Killer was just about unvapeable, (I don't think that's a word). I started with the adaptor connected and no matter how I adjusted it the draw was way too tight, plus it leaked from the two exposed 'juice adjustment' holes. I was pretty much ready to give up but decided to try them without the adaptor.

Apparently Alice is used to sucking golf balls through a straw because I don't find the draw airy at all, not even as much as a 1/16th ERA. Even though I slightly favor the draw on the ERA/Hornet, Chalice the flavor of the Killer beats them all hands down.

If I could figure out a way to make it a slightly looser draw I would but over all I'mm pretty happy. As the opportunity presents itself I'll be picking up a few more of them.

You're suppose to close the juice control so the holes aren't exposed. Did you do that? And it leaked? And the draw was too airy?

I've tried the killer on my Woodvil with the adapter on and closed and it wasn't airy or tight to me. I thought it was just right but then I don't like an airy draw. BTW, if you like an airy draw try a Protank. Now THAT's an air draw. LOL!

I used the adaptor in every configuration I could think of, fully open, partially open, fully closed, etc. My goal was to make the draw looser than just using the Killer by itself, (I still don't understand how Alice thinks it's so airy to be unusable), but I ran into sever leaking problems. (Some of it may have been the way I was squonking.)

With the adaptor closed it seemed that there was such a long distance for the juice to travel to get to the wick it would first fill up the catch cup. With it open, (exposing the two juice holes), part of the juice would make it to the wick but some of it would leak out of the juice holes no matter how it was adjusted except for being totally closed. I even tried trip-tip o-rings on the adaptor 510 connection but that simply closed off the air holes and raised up the adaptor to the point that it had trouble making an electrical connection.

After all those problems is when I decided to try it without the adaptor and bada bing, bada boom, it works great that way as a BF atty. I've been using 'em that way for a couple weeks now and the only time I get any juice in the catch cup is if I squonk long and slow instead of 2 or 3 short, quick squonks. I've also gotten use to the slightly tighter draw that I'm use to where I can only tell the difference if I take a draw off the Killer then take a draw off the 1/16th hole ERA. (Slightly more vapor from the open holed ERA but much better flavor from the Killers.)

And thus the search for the absolute perfect BF vape continues but right now I'm pretty happy.

Well whatever works for you is good. I'm glad you found your happy place. :)

Mine has been great too, at times. But the performance tends to occasionally fade away for some freakin reason. I had a similar problem w/cartotanks, so maybe related in some strange way. It's gotta have something to do w/vacuum in the tank & the way I make my draw or... Oh well, I'll figure it out sooner or later...or not.

Me too! I really want to LOVE this thing, but performance is sketchy and I keep getting dry hits even with all the tinkering with the holes and pre-fire air draws. Keep thinking about the vapor lock thing being a big culprit. Trying to keep positive about it, hoping sometime soon to get it working completely hassle free... It's nice when it works, but at least once a day I find myself wanting to give up on it.

I'm scared to have a problem cause its been working flawlessly for two tanks now. I don't know if it matters at all but how I filled it was I left the juice control open to where I wanted it and filled to just below the holes. Then I just popped the bottom cap on and put it on my device with zero problems. And I have chain vaped this thing with very short breaks between drags.

That's how I do it too and have had no wicking or flooding problems since doing it this way.
