I've taken this thing apart & checked it out pretty close & can see nothing whatsoever out of the ordinary (no burred edges, clogged holes etc), so it really baffles me that I'm still having trouble with it while everyone else seems to be in vapers heaven. I've tried 50/50 to 100% VG juices w/similar sketchy results. Quirky. But I digress. The latest episode in my increasingly cheesy soap-opera: Over the past week my Killers performance has been slipping yet again. Off/on for no apparent reason. Don't get me wrong, it's a profound TH, but I'm getting sorta bored w/the taste of hot silica very lightly spiced w/the flavor of my juice. Sooo, I just now cut the loop of the wick into & stuffed all four legs into the cup. Reassembled & it's vaping real nice...right now. Again.

So Cal
I had to sign for the Killer but not for the accessories I ordered later.

I guess when/if it gets here i'll have to pick it up at the post office a couple days later. I got two killers coming but under seperate tracking numbers. an Ebaron pro too on a seperate tracking number. bummer

update on my killer that I have right now. Did my first re-coil. 3mm wick, 32g kanthal FAIL. dry hit heaven, seems like 3mm wick doubled over is not too awesome

re-did it with 2mm wick. It was ok but flavor was muted. 1.5 tanks later its hitting ok.

is there something im doing wrong ?

So Cal
I got my 22mm IBTanked earlier in the week in anticipation of my Killer. The caps are very tight - it's hard for me to imagine them being much looser even filled with juice, we'll see. It's a great looking tank.

keep us updated after you fill. when I filled I lubed the o-rings with e-juice. Have been vaping it all day with the killer. Now that the coil I made is broken in it hits like the one that came with it.

I liked the 22mm IBtanked so much I ordered 2 more. 1 is for my wife. I'm thinking of getting some custom cut ones that would be perfect for the killer so theres no extra sticking out of the top. Anyone know how long it needs to be ? im guessing 38-40mm should be good

I actually just measured this today. I was talking with OCD last week about getting this exact same thing cut for me. He said once I get it , that if it works really well he'll add a custom size to his site for the Killer. These are the measurements with the juice control about 50% open which is normally where I keep it. So I was going to probably have it cut with about an extra mm or so.

1.585 inches
40.2 mm

I keep it a little bit above half open, should I keep it at 40.2 or go higher ?

I'm interested to see how it works out for you. please keep us posted as it shouldnt cost too much just to order glass as I have 2 sets of caps already

Might be slightly more than half, but I think a few threads aren't going to matter that much. If you're worried about airflow on a flush mounted mod then maybe give yourself that tiny bit extra and get the tank a little bit shorter. I'm gonna use a slotted ego cone so I'm not worried about it too much and will probably just get it at about 39.8 or something like that for a total length.

I'm not sure how much space the caps take up but OCD mentioned it in a post in his thread in the last page or so. I PMd him earlier today about it all but I think he's not back from vacation till Monday. I'll have to see what the exact tank length ends up being sometime this week.

todd stated in his review that he cut the wicks also and had all 4 legs sticking down as well and that helped wicking. I hope it works out for you

Finally finished this entire thread, all 141 pages. Lots of great information here. After waiting 6 weeks on a pre-order from 405 Vaperz, my Killer 705 finally arrived last week while the AGR tank i ordered sat idle the whole time. While some people are having good results with their AGR/Killer combo, I haven't due to the way the 2 are designed. Yesterday I crooked one of my wife's 19mm XL IBTanks and after replacing those crazy tight inner o-rings was surprised to find how well that tank actually works with the Killer. I push the Killer into the tank from the bottom and fill with juice without having to remove an end cap, just like you would with a carto, only backwards. There's a small gap between the top of the killer and upper o-ring that allows you to relieve the vacuum that causes the occasional vapor lock. Just pull the drip tip wail a few seconds and replace. Adjusting the juice flow is easy as long as I remember to unscrew the tank from my mod a few turns to allow the floating post to move. If I forget to unscrew the tank a few turns, the wrong part of the Killer usually separates. I have been really enjoying my Dripper Pro, but never left the house with it because I don't drip on the go, LOL. Thanks to the Killer/IBTank combo, I can enjoy the same great vape everywhere I go.

I've been looking for a suitable tank with a top fill screw and checked out a lot of the tanks mentioned in this thread, but the ones I liked were out of stock. Thanks to IBTanked my search may be over, but I'm still following Vaperfexion's progress on a Killer friendly tank. I received this reply from them early this morning:

Hi,
It would probably be best to start out with the fact that it is just not possible for us to do a top cap fill port on the 19mm Cartomator. There simply is not enough clearance in the cap to do that.
That being said, the new 22mm OD Cartomator VX is coming out this week. The 22mm cap does have the option of a top cap fill port and does offer a Killer Prep Option, which includes the cap fill-port, a longer tube and a bottom cap modification to fit the K705 connector. Since it is a new model, options on cap designs will be limited in the early going, but it is a pretty tank as it is. I should have pictures up by Monday evening of it. The product page is set up minus photos right now. The Cartomator
The VX looks like the 19mm Cartomator SS, but the caps are slightly thicker to match the increased size and make it look proportional. As I said, pics should be up Monday.

Thank You,
Tom

Well, this should be interesting as I ordered a 19mm cartomator with fill port and didn't be any response stating this would be an issue. Should be here tomorrow. Hrm..... Sure hope it has the fill port as that and the Pyrex tank was my motivator for ordering...

That's the tank I was inquiring about also because of the pyrex and fill port options. It's a beaut ain't it? Unless you've been following the the threads about some of their tanks, you wouldn't have known to mention in the comments that it's for a Killer. The fill port will be on the side of the tank (haven't seen anything mentioned on their site about it not being available on pyrex tanks). You may have an issue with the thickness of the bottom cap. They've been shaving them down on some tanks for use with a Killer. If the bottom cap ends up being too thick, I'm sure you could contact them about the tank being meant for a Killer and exchange bottom cap.

Haven't seen that vid until now, thanks. Really like Todd's reviews and tutorials. I had some of the same problems he talked about. It's the floating post that's the culprit with the combination of that type of tank, mod being used, and whether or not you use the locking cap. It does work great in a couple combinations and in others it feels like I'm trying to suck my mod through the tank or adjusting the juice flow becomes a pita. Adjusting the juice flow can sometimes effect the draw. I prefer a tank that will work on all the mods I own.

Hey guys, got my killer in. I got it in a j-tank on a custom chi chi that i painted white, the tank sits flush, it looks amazing and as tall as a standard provari which is ridiculous. I'm wondering what other good 19mm tanks are out there. I like 19mm because it sits on my chi chi and provari perfectly. But the j-tank lol, it is ridiculously tight. I mean that's the j-tank for you. my guess is that you want tight inner orings and loose tank orings?

Anyway, any good recommendations?

ibtanked are great and if you don't mind spending a bit more well actually double the vaperfexion tanks mate up great with the provari. you can get the bottom cap with air flow cutouts so it sits flush on the provari as well. In other news though my killer left LA. heading my way so im hoping Wednesday for mine
