Do old ladies like e-cigs? LOL

My hubby's grandma is currently in the hospital. She has smoked over a pack a day for probably 60 years. She is going to have to quit when she gets out. Do you think she would go for an e-cig?

There are quite a few older users let her try yours when you get it and help her make the switch if she likes it!

She's 81. So really, she's probably been smoking for closer to 70 years. Since she was a little kid!

I had already planned on letting her try mine with the family's permission if she wanted to. I kind of think she'll dig it!

I think she will too. Great new start for her as long as you help with the tecnology aspects in the beginning. She'll love you even more for the effort.

Why do I ask, you ask?
A friend of mine had turned her nose up at the ecig---pretty much that way about anything she made up her mind about.
She ended up in the hospital and couldn't get out of bed.
Well, at that point, the e cig began looking a lot better. I loaned her one of mine.
After she got out, she ordered her own and a carton of carts---hasn't touched an analog since.

We actually don't know right now how long she'll be in. She had 3 surgeries in 3 days and has to be on a respirator right now, because she was too weak to breathe for herself. She is being weaned off the respirator now and should be off it in a few days. After that she will eventually have to go to a nursing/rehab facility. That's why I thought she'd be interested.

She's ripe for an alternative. Smoke an e cig or smoke nothing.

Careful of the nicotine level you give her. She may not be up to it right away and if her heart is weak or at risk, a big jolt of nicotine after being 'on the wagon' in the hospital might not be a good idea.

But...being without nicotine could also have some adverse effects. Depression, listlessness, etc.

my grandfather quit after 50 years cold turkey and had a few heart attacks the day after, system coudn't handle the lack of nicotine, no worries he's still alive it was 20 years ago.

I was thinking about getting some mid range juice for her, nothing 24 or 36. Just for her to try it.

If she's stuck in the hospital she will probably love an e-cig. Might have to help her out a bit getting step and used to it, but totally worth it. Lots of stuff to try might be a good distraction for her too.
