I always wanted to make some icy fruit mixes without the menthol taste but somehow I can't do it with koolada, I always get a tight chest thing going with it, my ADV use both menthol and koolada together for this reason.

am I alone here or is it a bit common?

I would love to make something without the taste of menthol, don't get me wrong, I love the taste but sometimes I just want the cool without any other taste

How much are Koolada are you guys using? I can add a drop per every 3-5ml of finished liquid to get a good cool effect. If I use too much, I sort of "seize up" on the inhale, then start coughing. The longer it has been since I smoked cigs, the less I use Koolada. I don't use it with menthol - I can't handle menthol - but like it with my peppermint candy and gum flavored vapes.

Vapero - if even a little Koolada irritates you, try adding a drop of peppermint to your fruits. I especially like it with watermelon and citrus.

I love menthol and use it in my top adv alongside with koolada

let's put it like this so I can explain myself better
from 1-10 (10 being a really frosty ice cube)
I like my mixes at 7 with menthol and koolada together
but if I try to do it in just koolada I can get up to 3-4 and then get a tight chest so I can't get that cool that I'm looking from it alone

for my curent mixes it works great using both, but I would love to make some ice tea and don't want the menthol taste in it (I just want to stuff my drink with ice cubes and not menthol)

Are you vaping a high VG mix? Does the same mix affect you with other flavorings? VG causes exactly that problem in lots of people. It's why I vape 100%PG most of the time. When I add VG I only use 10% to 20% and I'm fine.

I used to have that effect with vg but I took it slow, started at 50/50 and gradually went up to 80/20 with no issues so it's not the vg

Hmm. This is interesting. One of my favorite vendor made juices is strawberry milkshake. Made by Zeus juice. I know they add 2 drops of koolada in every 12 mil bottle ,I called the vendor . And it's delicious. I can vape it all day with no issues. 60/40 ratio on vg/pg. and 6 nic level. Running in a nautilus. I have noticed ever since I started using Zeus juices every other vendor juice is too harsh for me. But everyone's experiences are different Would like to know more about your situation and experience as you discover more. I am getting Into mixin my on And knowledge is always power

Other than choking you, does Koolada actually work to make things seem cool? I'd love to have cold strawberries or strawberries and cream! Warm is fine, but I think I would REALLY enjoy cool or cold.

All I get is a bit of cool, not cold like menthol..
lets say the difference for me between the two is menthol is a glass of icy water full of ice and koolada is a glass of water that was in the fridge for 10 minutes max YMMV

Sometimes Koolada can make me cough, if I have the wattage turned up too high, or try to inhale too deeply. Haven't experienced the chest tightness, though, and I feel absolutely smothered if there's too much VG and it's not diluted with water to thin it. If I take a hit of something with Koolada and it does make me cough, I just go back .5w, it usually helps, just by slightly decreasing the vapor.

not sure what they use but vapor chef's frost line is very tasty imo. :vapor:

Its koolada.

I use koolada in some of my recipes to give it a cool mouth feel without imparting the taste of menthol/mints in flavors, but I've never experienced tightness of chest. Only thing I have adverse effects to is PG heavy juices.
