So I'm new at DIY and am expecting a delivery of my supplies soon. I researched and found some recipes me and my partner would enjoy so for the most part I'm covered but she enjoys menthol or icy vapes and the only recipe we have for that is peppermint patty, so I added a larger bottle koolada to my order to mix with fruit flavors... Will this work?

Also what would be a good percentage to mix it at with fruit flavors?

The fruit flavors I have are...
Strawberry tpa
Watermelon tpa
Rf sweet strawberry cap
Green apple cap
Blue raspberry fw

Yes, it will work. Since each person has their own taste, I will suggest you start with .01%. Remember you can always add, but with this if you start too high you will be making a larger batch than maybe you want to. And this stuff is strong.....

Agree with Sugar & Spice. With menthol and koolada, less is more.

I was a menthol smoker back in the day, so that was the first flavor that I used. It's amazing how different menthol flavors differ from one another. After having been a vaper for almost 7 years, I can't stand menthol e-liquid flavors now. Go figure.

Koolada is a little different. It adds a perception of coolness to the back of the throat, without a mint flavor. I do use it sparingly with some of my fruit flavors. I tend to add a couple of drops at a time directly into my full tank rather than adding it to the entire batch.

EDIT: Maybe start at 1/2% as a compromise?? ;)

to me, koolada is more "cold" than menthol or mint. if she likes menthol or icy vapes, it might not be enough.
Koolada is a molecule similar to menthol, it has the same icy "cool" feeling but without the minty taste. I've used it at .5% for a light effect, up to 1.5 or 2% for a real kick.

Koolada is actually colder than WS-23 if compared one to one. The difference is that commercial Koolada liquids are a 10% solution and WS-23 solutions are a 30% solution. The two are in the same chemical family. Koolada is WS 3 cooling agent - Koolada is just a cooler name. :) Koolada is 150% the strength of menthol and cooling agent WS 23 is only 75% the strength of menthol. From my understanding, some Malaysian e-juices contain both.

I agree and if they made koolada at 30% I might like it more than WS-23. To me I prefer the ws23 for the simple reason I have less to add to a mix to get the same efffect. Because of the strength you have to be a bit more careful with it but other than that its no big deal. It might just be me but I could swear at high levels koolada has a slight minty taste. Maybe koolada in powder or crystal form?
And like a dummy I had to search: Koolada Powder

You can make your own solution of cooling agent WS 3 or of WS 23 at whatever strength you like. 20 grams would probably last you the rest of your life. :) Some mixers do dissolve their own WS 23 in PG and like a 20% solution. I know I have to be careful with the 30% solution or I will feel it in my brain. LOL

Thats the part I really like about it. Very little use. Check this out, only in UK for now I guess. Cooling Agent WS-5 Flavour Concentrate - Vapable
