I think the final verdict was:
510 wins in vapor production
Kr808 wins in everything else
or did I miss some other performance aspect of it in this thread?

Question, would using an $4 808/901batt-to-510atom adapter be the best of both worlds then?
Increase battery life w/ 510 atty?
Or do the adapters not cut it?

This "hybrid" is an excellent combination, the kanger batteries mated to the 510 atty deliver "true" 3.7 vaping and better battery life to boot. I'm thinking of doing this myself. The adapter adds about half an inch to the length, but apparently looks good all put together. Talk to Scottbee if you like, this is one of his setups of choice ;)

With regards to the summary, I guess I classify vapor production as "performance", because it is what an ecig is supposed to do. If you'd like to sacrifice some of that performance for simplicity and a longer batt life, the kr8 is a good compromise.

808 for sure. It's great and there's tons of flavors

yup :) I own a 510 and an 808.. the 808 is better for those who don't like to 'fiddle' with their eCigs.... if you don't like to re-fill your carts, just pop a new one in.. they're inexpensive also.. you can buy refills at most places for $8 for five cartos. :D

I recommend both the Joye 510 and the Kr8 for beginners. If the person is the type that doesn't want to fiddle with stuff and just wants it to work I suggest the Kr8. When the person is a fiddler and likes to have lots of control I recommend the 510. Both are good sturdy models to start out with. And parts for each are widely available!!! That is a big deal for me.

;)

It might or it might not. Depends on what YOU want! LOL. That combination would give you the long battery life of a Kr8 battery and the vapor etc of a 510. You would still be fiddling though.

I think the adapters are great. They let me use whatever battery I happen to have on hand with any atomizer/cartomizer I wish. I need more!

;)

I use the KR8,Its about flavor and TH and enough vapor to make me feel like Im smoking.Im not going to give up flavor and TH so I can feel like a fog machine. If all you want is clouds of vapor then fine, but I want more than that,so I use the KR8.

I'm happy your kr8 works for you :)

That being said, we must be careful not to make blatant generalizations. The 510 provides plenty more than a mini fog machine, and the thick, smoke-like vapor with a non-airy draw replicates smoking well. Flavor and TH is subjective and liquid dependant to some extent, but when it comes to vapor performance it's safe to say the 510 sets the standard. This reflects it's popularity in the community. Not knocking the kr8, it appears to be an excellent hassle-free device with notable performance that works for many, but we need to be careful not to be closed minded.

I started out using the KR8s and am so satisfied that I have no desire to try a 501. I get great taste, plenty of vapor, and no fuss. I refill my cartos, and when they have been refilled a few + times, I wash/dry them and they are as good as new. Even as a newbie, I have yet to burn one out - there is an obvious taste change when it's time for a refill. The XL manual batteries I got from V4L are awesome - one will last me almost an entire day.

The Kr808 cartomizer is okay, but only okay unless you're ready to fiddle with it. The only problem with the 510 is its horrible battery life.

Pretty much any strong battery (incl the Kr808's) with an adapter or any mod using the 510 makes the 510 the unit of choice because battery life is the only are where the 510 is not superior to the kr808.

If you want to eliminate all fuss from the 510, simply buy a tip that allows direct dripping. No muss, no fuss, and clouds of vapor. IMHO, the 510 wins hands down.

not having burnt filler is the winner for the 510 or any other 3 piece.

if you want 2 piece get a greencig e-cig, cigar or pipe. even mods exist for usage of these fine 2 piece models.

i get sick of the glory singers here for the kr8. if the fda, or any other countries drug&food department, don't find anything wrong with e-cigs, they will find out about the kr8 no.1 design flaw.

denial of burning filler from a few hardliners, doesn't make it untrue. i tried to like the
kr8, but its just not possible to be sure how this thing vapes. no-muss, no-fuss is elsewhere.

I prefer the 510. In fact, I will probably sell the KR8. Only used it for a couple carts but TH is too much and I cough every time I use it. I get almost no vapor with mine which is important to me. Battery life is good but flavor is not IMO. Easy to refill the 510, haven't tried the KR8 but it seems it will be way more trouble.

They all have pros and cons, you just have to decide which is more important. I don't mind changing batteries every hour or so as long as I have the other things I like.

Hey, we like what we like and don't need an excuse for that. I hate it when people tell me that my FORD stands for Fix and Repair Daily. It just isn't true. ;)

Me too...I love my kr. As I said before, I have three models. I use one all day, one at night before bed... and one sits unused. Everything on here is based on opinion via personal experience. Its rude to say that because one model has its fans that they cant continue in their expression. If the FDA ever takes e-cigs off the 'bad for you" list and BT or any other manufacturer starts producing them, it will be a version of the kr808-D that will be made. Its the simplest, user friendly model out there... and for them not to perfect it imo would be failure.

Oh, and by the way... Ford doesnt stand for "Fix and Repair Daily"... its "Fix OR Repair Daily"...f o r d... Dont worry....Im driving one now while my Nissan is getting fixed!:D

    Let me know how much!

    Lower your nic level

I get almost no vapor with mine which is important to me.

Theres a definate technique to getting good vapor. Draw slow and long. Clouds of vapor will be the pay off.

Battery life is good but flavor is not IMO.

Try another flavor maybe? Most folks agree the flavor is what got them hooked on the kr.

Easy to refill the 510, haven't tried the KR8 but it seems it will be way more trouble.

Hmmmm.... unscrew cart, drip 4 or 5 drops into end of cart, screw back on. So, the 510 is easier than that?

They all have pros and cons, you just have to decide which is more important. I don't mind changing batteries every hour or so as long as I have the other things I like.

All true. Except I dont have to change batts every hour:D

My father says it stands for Forever On Repair Dock. He's an old navy man. But I think Ford is probably going to be the only American car company that is left standing in five years.

    Sorry to go OT.
