Always enjoy your reviews, Jan!

I respect and trust your report on the insides of the DigitalCiggz cartomizer, but the vapor production you demonstrated doesn't compare to what I get from my Bloogs and VOLTS. [Of course, you didn't take long drags.]

My main observation/question, however, relates to the battery. You mentioned that it was not rubberized (a feature I like – albeit not treasure – in the Bloog/VOLT), but you didn't comment on the voltage or mAh. The DigitalCiggz website must be incorrect on the mAh. It claims 280 mAh for the short battery. As you know, 280 mAh is standard for the regular-length Kr8 batt and 180 mAh for the shorty. A distinguishing feature of the Bloog and VOLT is 320 and 220 mAh, respectively.

BTW, like you, I enjoy the 555 flavor of the Bloog (and now the VOLT) cartos and, apparently, those from DigitalCiggz. Are you aware that Smokeless Image now sells it (and four of their other flavors) as bottled e-liquid?

Hi Don,

Vapor production as seen in a video is highly subject to lighting, background, how close the pv is to the camera, whether the vape is blown at the camera or in another direction, what juice is in the cart, and how the camera is set-up for either auto-exposure or manually. On top of that, there's all sorts of variation on if the battery is freshly charged, how long the reviewer's been vaping it before filming and like you said, how big of puffs the reviewer takes. In all of this, I think igetcha69 is best as he always demo vapes in that one same spot, with background and lighting exactly the same for each pv.

All I can do is tell you that those 3 cartomizers that came in the 808 SmartPCC Starter Kit from DigitalCiggz performed identically to the Volt's. In construction, they are identical to the Volt & Maxxfusion. If I knew whether DigitalCiggz 808 cartos sold separately were the same, I'd buy some of them and check 'em out. But the rep doesn't know.

Okay, to spill the beans here, the rep didn't know what was really coming in this kit. I asked if it was the same as the MF and Volt, and he didn't know. He assumed the cartos and battery were old-school but told me this kit comes prepackaged from the same exact factory as the MF. So he sent me the kit to review it and find out.

The pcc, the cartos, and the battery, from my vaping my Volt for nearly 6 weeks, is identical except no rubbery finish on the battery and that the cartos still have the hard plastic cap and rubber o-ring inside like the Volts did until a week or so ago. Plus that the pcc has the new screw-in style on the pcc for both 65mm and 78mm batts. I had that pcc in my hands testing it when word of the pcc's upgrade appeared in the Bloog thread here in ecf, that shocked the crud out of me.

As for the 280mAh, it came from me, lol, that's true. When I was quizzing DigitalCiggz about the kit initially, I mistakenly asked if the battery was 280mAh, it was a type-o, it should have been 220mAh. Later on after I'd tested the kit, I wrote and told DC that the battery and carts were the same as the MF & Volts. DC went back into my earlier email and updated the DC site with 280mAh. This was a couple of days before I finished my video and got it up onto youtube. I spotted it and brought it to DC's attention but there has not been a subsequent correction. So I purposely left out how many mAh the battery is in my review video.

Matter of fact, I see so many things changing so quickly in these new 808 kits and parts, I wonder if the testing is kept current to where anyone really knows at any given moment in time? If so, I'd love to see the data. :) The best I can do is vape each battery and diligently log voltages, how long to charge, how long they last in test chain vaping, etc.

About new stuff at Volt, yep, got my newest haul a couple of days ago, loving the 78mm battery. I'm testing it alongside of a 78mm battery I got from Analog Alternative as well as new cartomizers from both. Guess what my next review will be? Yes, I see Volt is selling bottled e-liquid, may have to check out that as well one of these days.

Thanks for the feedback and watching my vids. See, you are keeping me on my toes! LOL!

Always enjoy your reviews, Jan!
