Well, the sun has returned and the storm has moved off to torment more easterly parts of the country. We never even lost power (which is a minor miracle out here in the sticks). I had a ton or firewood ready just in case. Looks like the snow has morphed into a thin crust of ice that will hopefully melt off as the day progresses. Thanks for warming me up Ladies, and I'll bet you warmed yourselves in the process. :) Keep the blankies and critters handy - It's gonna be a loooonnnngg winter.

Drinking some Hot White Chocolate while working on my final essay. My focus has been sporadic at best recently, adhd is in high gear! At least I'm staying warm, lol!

Today hubbs had the comforter that we have down here, so I was wearing a jacket and had another draped over my legs. Was too lazy to trek upstairs for another blanket :D

Do you have some time off after you turn in your essay ?

Yeah, Classes won't start again until January. I will have to work more in the meantime though, so it's not much of a break. It's time to register for Spring classes now; gotta figure out what to take this time.

umm....hot WHITE CHOCOLATE ???

Only my favorite! :D It's a yearly drink for me! Almost out, only 1 packet left, need to go buy some more! :D

I get one of those car seat heat pads, and hook it up for my chair, using an adapter. I also have one of those small corn kernel bags that you microwave for a few minutes for my feet. I also use fingerless gloves out of really soft yarn.

But when its REALLY cold, I resort to my flannel jammies, the micro soft socks- like spa socks. And at night, I have 2 little bed warmers- the 4 and 6 year olds come in to sleep with mom and dad(thank goodness for king size beds). With a very large dog and a normal size dog in the room, its stays comfy.

But most of the time I'm good with just a heating pad on my chair...
