I also can't recommend the Kanger Evod kit enough. It is what I buy to give to those who want to try vapeing and get off the smokes. Easy to use even the 650 batteries hold a charge for a day for most vapers, it is simple to use and the coils are cheap and easy to change. (and on a girly note they come in pretty colors)

Okay, I really can't believe how amazingly helpful and detailed people have been here.

You guys really didn't have to go all out to help some noob. But you did and wow, talk about a wealth of info.

I can't thank you enough. <3 But I'll do it again anyway, thank you.

The community here is amazing in that regard, if I had to guess I'd say everyone remembers their own 'newbie' days and are always eager to help someone else getting started. I just wish that was true of more forums! Let us know what you end up going with, and if you have any issues I'm sure you can get plenty of help.

Please don't give up and go back to analogs. I started recently with a couple of ego twist 650 mah batteries and a few clearomizers from Fasttech. The batteries work well but I found out quickly that what you put the juice in makes a lot of difference on the experience and taste you get. I found out quickly that the no name CE6 and T4 we're not very good but the iclear 16 has been nice. I tossed the T4 because of the constant metallic taste. Stick to name brands, they don't cost much more but they seem to be a lot better. Best of luck.

You got to give this a decent shot with decent gear, an ego style kit or any of the others people posted above will be a good way to really try out vaping.

Just don't give up yet

I started a few months ago on a joyetech ego-c kit, that specific kit. The ego name is used alot so I want to be specific.

http://www.joyetech.com/product/eGoC.php

Some people say its a bit better than the ego-t kit. From joyetech. It's like the next version, they say improved version.

I think almost every decent kits going to run about $50-70, but that's everything you need minus juice to get going.

I have added tanks and a few other parts since then, but I still use the joyetech tank setup everyday. the ego-cc they just released uses the same atomizers as my ego-c kit but gives you a bigger more seamless tank. It's like a kanger mini protank. Which I have, but was intrigued by the cc.

So I hope you stick to it and stay around, your posts are funny and would like to see them from time to time.

The thing is, small batteries will always get you poor vaping time, no matter what it costs or how good the product is. Those batteries are only meant to last a couple of hours.

You mentioned you are not into variable voltage, but an Ego Twist 1100mah will last up to 12 hours, or less depending on how you vape. 2 will get you through the day.

I agree with the I taste vv/vw as well, I started with the "mall" cig and it worked for a while but I quickly switched to the ego c because that wasn't quite doing it. I later went to my local vap shop and tried the itaste with a protank 2(probably will get a mini) and that was it for me. I think it's as much trouble and fuss as you want to put into it.

I think most of the members here really want to give the newbies(hate that word) the best possible chance of beating this disease ridden gawd awful addition. So many of us were misled by the mall ecigs and companies who just wanted to suck you in by putting you on an automatic re-order plan. Unfortunely, most of those types of ecigs just were not powerful enough to really get the job done. And the result was that those who had tried them and were disappointed, thought that ecigs really don't work. Thankfully, times have changed and it just keeps getting better and better. 3 years ago, you really had nothing but those type of ecigs, a 510 battery, an atty and cartridge, or an 808D with cartomizers already filled with juice. Not a lot of choices at the time, but the hard core smokers who's lives were hanging in the balance just kept plugging away to make it work. Now, there are so many choices. And I am totally thrilled that I didn't give up. I literally got my life back. So sometimes when it gets rough, just keep telling yourself, you can do this....because you can. Soon you will get your taste buds back, your hair will be healthier and your skin will glow. You will be able to walk up the stairs without being winded. And it just keeps getting better.
I had the priviledge of receiving fantastic help and support from this community and now you do too. Embrace it, and when you feel you are ready, start to give back by helping others.
I sincerely hope you stick with us.

lots of great advice and set up ideas for you here...as a noob, I've made mistakes(worst being the burnt coils) and am sure i'll make MANY more, live and learn...part of the vaping experience I suppose, good luck to you and I hope you find something you like and can afford presently and in the long run

lol.

Did you select one yet?

There's an old saying: You can have it 1) Fast 2) Cheaply 3) High-Quality. Pick any two.

In your case 1) Fast... means less fiddling/easy-to-use.

So it's all a trade off of desires vs features.

Expense was a major factor for me. So is low-fiddle. Build-quality, not so much. Meh. I'd rather have 5 inexpensive mods over time than 1 high-priced one. You may be of the opposite opinion. You pick.

I went with a 510 when I started out and quickly moved into an eGo type of setup and rather quickly into mods from there. And DIY e-juice.

The biggest savings is in DIY e-juice. I vape for less than $.20 per day in juice costs (non-hardware). I also drip. Less problems, slightly more effort.

Getting a VV device is nice. It allows you to "tweak" the heat. Maybe start with a Spinner or Twist or some such. And a bunch of standard atomizers if you want to drip. Don't pay high prices for special "dripping attys" they are over-priced and over-rated, IMO. To be fair, I haven't tried all of them. But they are not necessary.

If you don't wish to drip, check out basic cartos and/or clearos 1st. See reviews. I'm using a dripping RDA right now so I can't make recommendations as to carto-of-the-month club.

Good Luck!

ETA: If you stay with e-cigs, the next "mod" could be a swappable battery setup. Keep the Spinner/Twist as a backup.

Also, if you insist on cig-a-likes, you can still drip if you wish. If not, at least fill your own cartos.

i think this thread is a troll.
i've tried blu,greensmoke and i am currently using v2s.
i'll admit there pricey when bought locally but, the're solidly made and the vape
wile maybe not the best out there is ok.
some older posts suggested v2s come with carts with peeling paper, veneer wearing off the batt
from first use,and yada yada.

i,ve got 3 batts and have been refilling their carts for over a month now,no quality problems.
i do use a juice produced here in minnesota ,menthol crush by vapotech.

i've found the quality of all the products she mention to be very good, if pricey.

regards

Another option is the KGO kit from Hoosier Vaping. It's what I bought after going through the disposable phase & I'm still using it as much as my Vamo. It's often overlooked but is another version of an ego. Look at the review by Pbsuardo on tasteyourjuice, com.

It's been a great setup & last for a long time. My works like new & I've had it for 6-8mos. Still going strong & use it everday.
It's as simple as it gets.

Good luck with your adventure

I'll add my vote for Halo G6 to meet your needs. It's cig sized, there is no burning taste with Halo's cartomizers (whether prefilled or blanks you've filled yourself), it's not excessively expensive, nothing to fiddle with. I got mine after using only disposables for a while.

I'd recommend choosing the longer batteries (same price). The diameter is the same as an analog and length assembled with a cartridge is like a 100's analog. I recommend the kit at minimum, or better yet add a sampler of liquids and some blank cartomizers and a mini-tank or two. That should give you a month's supply of everything. The blanks and prefilled cartos are all refillable multiple times. Kit has 2 batteries. It takes about 2 hours to charge one.

The purple batteries and titanium or black cartos make a classy looking combination. There's a thin band of silver that shows between the carto and battery. Most of their tips glow blue.

I'm using my 2.5 ml ProTank right now with Black Clove e-juice from MtBaker. I was worried that I didn't like my ProTank, then realized when I put in a new coil (2.2 ohm) that solved the problem and I am in vaping heaven right now! I do like the mini because of the tighter draw and the slim size, but giving this bigger one more of a chance now that I know it doesn't really suck like I thought it did. :)

Uh, you think I'm a troll because I don't like the products you like?

I see you have nearly as few posts as I have, perhaps you're the troll (or a schill)? ;)

Thanks to everyone else. :)
