Little one is up...

running around in his birthday suit..

Wow. He got a suit for his birthday? I can't even get one for Christmas

Actually, I did get a suit for my 12th birthday--I had so much fun telling people at church I was going to attend service in my birthday suit...

That drawing is full of awesome pwyll!

Yes, yes it is. I think I am going to start sharing more of Rhianna's artwork. Most is fairly mundane, but every month or two she comes up with one that would give a therapist nightmares.

Like the one she drew when she was five of a girl standing knee deep in a red puddle with red splotches on her face. It had an excellent colour scheme, but I couldn't figure out what it was...

Me: Rhianna, what is this a picture of?
Rhi: That. Is a picture. Of a girl.
Me: I can see that, but what is she doing?
Rhi: She is crying.
Me: Well what is all the red? And why is she crying?
Rhi: That is her tears, she is crying blood.
Me: Uhhhh.... Why is she crying blood?
Rhi: She is very sad.
Rhi: Also, she is a vampire.

She is getting more and more "girly" as she ages. She is becoming more and more mainstream as she interacts with a wider variety of children. And as her bouts of deviance are becoming less frequent they become more intense.

I am trying to teach her how to let her freak out while she is being mundane--I do not want her to grow up to be Jane Wayne Gacy or a female Jame Gumb...
