I received my mini lava tube and aw imr batteries today. So opened the battery and check the voltage and it was 3.9 so i charged it about a hour latter it came off the charger at 4.1 so popped it in my mini and vaped a 3.0 boge at 4.2v.about a hour latter but only like 20 puffs, i check the voltage on the battery and it was at 3.9.Is it normal for the battery to discharge that fast?I read that its not good to discharge aw imr's lower than 3.7v?If so im only gonna get 40 puffs out of 1 battery.kinda sucks:unsure:

3.9v is above the batteries rated voltage you're going to get much more life out of a charge than that. It's a 3.7 volt battery so you're still above it's nominal voltage rating, normal for it to go down at that rate. 18350 is a pretty small battery and with a booster mod isn't going to last as long as the bigger options. When I had the Mini Lavatube using a 18350 AW IMR I got about 5ish hours on a charge, 2 would get me through the day most of the time but a heavier vapor might need more.

They can be discharged well below 3.7 with no issues, 3.7v is the nominal voltage of the battery. The Lavatube is supposed to have a low voltage cut off which will tell you when it's time to charge, I charged mine when the battery got below 3.5 volts, any lower than that and I had issues with loaded voltage dropping.

I hope that's so; I think now that my Gripper contributed to the early demise of two Ultrafire 16340 batteries, because (I suspect) at a certain point the battery voltage drops off fast with no warning; today I was out and about with my new mini LT, and I had a couple of really weak hits so I shut it off, afraid that it would kill my only 18350 (more on order) so, I would be very relieved if the mlt has a low-volt cutoff.

Actually the lowest discharge volt for an AW IMR 18350 is 2.5V, but I don't think the Lavatubes will work with a battery below 3.3V if I remember correctly..... My bad, that is the Kick that won't work below 3.3V......

Hi,

my experience with four AW IMR18350:

(A) mini lava tube
6 volts 12.41 watts 2.07 amps
boge 2.9 ohm single coil
6 ml tank
27 puffs of 3 secs drag (4.1v drops to 4.0)
thereafter; the lower the voltage, lesser quantity of puffs (3 secs drag)
as i'm a chain vaper, i constantly need to swap fresh batteries every one to two hours at 3.5v.

(B) VMax
4.6 volts 7.3 watts 1.59 amps
boge 2.9 ohm single coil
6 ml tank
24 puffs of 3 secs drag (8.2v drops to 8.0)
thereafter; the lower the voltage, lesser quantity of puffs (3 secs drag)
as i'm a chain vaper, i constantly need to swap fresh batteries every one to two hours at 7v.
