I'm not positive that they won't take a button top in the mini, but I know the reg doesn't... get the flat top imr AW brand.

orachel, I got a few hours sleep. . .at least enough to type this reply. At Brents recommendation I ordered the "70's porn star" (lol) system and will try it and report back. I also ordered some cartos based on (I forget his name but the guy that did the video review with the charts) his recommendation for higher res stuff so I can really try out vaping at different voltages and not having to worry about the LT protecting my devices. This should get me a wide range of choices to "play" with my new mod. I live in Florida so I should be getting my batteries and charger from Orbtronics first. That means I will have charged batteries ready when the Mail carrier delivers my tube. Can't wait! I will let you know what I find with all my new stuff. I might have some more questions for you when it all arrives but I hope I will have some data to share with you too so you can add it to your vast store of knowledge for helping out others.
My AW IMR's all have the nipple on top and work great in my mini ss.

Quite frankly, it was my first and it's likely to be the last time I buy from the ECF classifieds.
Couple more questions -
I thought that the IMR batts didn't need extra circuitry protection as they were made with LiMn material as opposed to the regular lithium ion material and therefore were a safer battery.
Also, all the AW IMR batts that I see on the RTD Vapor website are button tops - I thought they wouldn't work in the lavatube VV mods? I have both the large and the mini VV mods.

Lettuce... they LOOK like a button top, but that's considered the flat button, I believe. I'm not 100% certain, but I KNOW the AW IMR from RTD works. lol And apparently they work on the mini in 18350 size, so that's a good thing.

LR or SR AND regular 510 carto size, or XL size.... for... wait for it... $23!!!! 25 boge cartos for $23, and mix and match your packs! Now that is a KILLER deal. I'm jumping up and down cause they also carry my smoktech 1.7ohms in a 5 pack for $32 dollars. They have the regular dual coil size, and also something called a 'mega xl' which is just a bit larger! AND they carry vivi nova for $14... and they have a nice mod.. Bolt, for $29. Now a nice all metal pv, either in Chrome or Gunmetal. Its fixed, but you have the choice of using 18500 batt, or 18650 with the bolt extender. Bolt would be an awesome sturdy starter unit w a few batteries. Anyway, I've never dealt with this vendor, but these prices are ridiculous. They don't have a ton of inventory, but what they've got, they're selling CHEAP!!
oh, and if you get the boge, make sure you get the 5 pack for $23, not the 4 pack for $22. lol

Does anyone know where I can find an HV carto like the Vision Stardust V2 in a higher resistance? All I can find is in the 2.5 to 2.8 ohm range. I don't really care for the cartos with the polyfill, but that's all I can find in HV. Many thanks!!

Ok, total Lavatube noob here
I got my Lavatube yesterday, but my batteries haven't arrived yet. Ordered the grey Panasonic 18650 2250mah 10A hybrid IMR (something something something ). My friend borrowed me an Ultrafire 18650 battery
Also this battery is ~2mm larger, so the top cap can't be screwed on till the end.
I've noticed that my Lavatube isn't performing well. With the battery charged full to 4.2V, the voltage on my atomizer (~1.7 ohm) is dropping really low. I think it's the battery (maybe it's an old battery, don't know that for sure). Please tell me it's the battery

Yup, Its the battery. Those battery never really did show me anything. Quickly switched to the IMR's
