LavaTube with 1.5Ohm Cartomizers ?

Is that a good idea. I just recieved my Lavatube and happen to have 1.5ohm carto's on hand and they seem to really hit well at 4.0 volts. I love the 1.5's on my inferno and will still use the inferno at work and out with the wife, so I am trying to avoid several different ohm level carts. Any advice is greatly appriceated.

If it works for you, go for it. Worst that happens is you burn up or singe a carto or two, I'd think. I'm using a boge sr on mine atm. It's what I had on hand. That's the great thing about vv mods. Use whatever you have and adjust the mod to fit it

Thanks Max, I just want to be able to stay with less extra crap and it allows me to grab and run instead of "ok this is for the LavaTube, no this is for my inferno" lol. Trying to use the KISS(Keep it simple stupid) method.

I believe that the LavaTube will detect the LR cartomizer and reset the voltage to 3.7. I could be mistaken but I do know that the LT has protection circuit that prevents you from mismatching the resistance of attys/cartos with higher voltages.

It seems to allow me to reach 4.0, but that could be just in my head, but it sure hits nice. I think I will go up to 2.0ohm cartos, as they work good enough when I have to use my inferno. My son recently gave me a VV Ego battery and it hits really good with my 1.5ohm cartos at the 4.2 volt setting, but I keep it wet at all times to make sure I don't ruin it.

Is there any way to observe the loaded voltage of the LavaTube?

I would think that the voltage that is displayed would show it under load. The only way to know for sure is to read it with and without an atty/carto. I don't own a LT yet so I'm making my best educated guess.

Check this review on You Tube - 10 minutes in he does under load voltage tests with an LR carto. The Lavatube seems to self-limit to 3.5 volts with LR coils - no matter what you set the voltage to.

Thanks - I don't suppose one can push either the Up or Down voltage buttons and get a reading while the Fire Button is pushed...

If you go with the 2.6-3 Ohm range, you can play around with the full voltage range of your LT. You may not want to go all the way up to 6 volts but you'll find a good sweet spot.

If you like 1.5 ohm on your Inferno you should stick with that....and use a 2.5 - 3.0 ohm on the LT...2.5 ohm on the Inferno will not be the same as you are getting with the 1.5's....

I ordered 2.5 ohm cartomizers in black and 1.5 cartomizers in stainless, so I can avoid confusion between my Inferno and LT. Thanks for all the help.
