Lemo 2 - Not sealing completely?

Hello,

I love my Lemo 1 so when the Lemo 2 came out, I was excited. I jumped all over it when it first came out. Since I got a ipv4, I've done nothing but nickel builds in my Lemo 1 and figured the Lemo 2 was so similar, it should work just the same. But that hasn't been my experience....

I've tried and tried but I can't seem to get the same flavor experience from the Lemo 2 as I do my Lemo 1. I do the EXACT same build on my Lemo 2 that I do on my Lemo 1 and I can't get it to work right. It's almost like it's not sealing properly or something because it's really airy and the flavor is muted. I'd really love to use my Lemo 2 for the ease of filling and the airflow control but at the moment, I'm back on my Lemo 1.

Has anyone else had problems getting the Lemo 2 to seal completely? I've even bought a second Lemo 2 to see if the first one was broke but I'm having the same results. I noticed when I first take it apart to clean, the o-ring is not lined up and kinda bunched up. I've ran the stock coil to see how it works and I don't have any problems.

Anyone else having the same problem? Any tips on building/putting it back together? Maybe I gotta wick differently?

I also have the Lemo 2 and find it's a great tank when setup properly. Make sure you don't over tighten the top piece or it'll scrunch up the seals and partially block the juice grooves. It should be loose enough so that you can fairly easily spin the glass but not too loose or you'll get leakage. I too found at first the flavor a bit disappointing or muted. Then I read somewhere that lowering the coil closer to the air hole would make a difference. I tried it and WOW .. major difference for me. Not sure if it will help but just a few suggestions to try.

I had all kinds of problems with the Lemo 2 but not that. The top fill of mine leaked like a ______ all over my shirt. I wear my vape gear in a lanyard around my neck and the Lemo 2 caused my mod to tilt and every time it tilted there was a new spot of ejuice on my shirt. The first thing I did when u got home was save what ejuice I could and put the $38 tank in the circular file (trash can).

I wish I could find orings for the lemo 2. I used to love that tank. I have 2 but as time went on I chewed through both sets on each.
Here are the sizes of the two sealing rings in Lemo 2:

Upper one: Silica gel 70° inner diameter 19.20mm, thickness 1mm

Lower one: Silica gel 40° inner diameter 20.50mm, thickness 1mm

Hopefully this can help you

thank you for the bit of advice. I have both versions of the Lemo and love them. Apparently, I have been over tightening my lemo 2 on occasion resulting in partially blocking the juice grooves. I was thinking I had screwed up my wick. Nope! Appreciate your help.:)

Sorry for the late reply. I got tired of seeing the same .... coming out over and over and I kinda got out of paying attention to vape stuff for a while. Seemed like everyone and their mom came out with a new 18650 atty like there wasn't enough already. Recently, I've heard about the Aromamizer though. It seems to be something I've dreamed of and pretty much how I use my Buddha or 30mm asMODeus RDA; an RDA you don't have to constantly refill. I'm kinda having problems with that (burnt hits after 4 or 5 so hits) but that's off topic.....

I'll have to try the suggestions you guys have gave. My nickel builds have been 10x wraps 28g around a 1/8th drill bit. They work great besides the fact that I seem to have to change the coil out alot. I tried a 10x wrap 26g around a 1/8th of kanthal but I seemed to get some burnt hits during chain vaping. I wick both builds the same way and don't have problems with the nickel builds.

Again, thanks for the suggestions. I'll try them out Sunday during my weekly vape maintenance :)

Good info .... But, where do we find Silica Gel sealing rings of this exact size ? ?

EDIT: I did some checking. Seems like Eleaf don't sell replacement tank seals for the Lemo 2. I guess they feel that the Lemo 2 is just a "throw-away" item when it gets time to replace the seals .... This is the last Eleaf item I ever purchase!

Here is another problem with the Lemo 2 (and it makes no difference what wicking method you use)

Juice seeping from the bottom of the Lemo 2 (see arrows in the photo below) ... No, it's not condensation either

I like the eleaf mods the 40tc and 60tc.

You can't run fast enough to give me an eleaf tank.

The Lemo 2 leaked 1/2 a tank of juice on my shirt in three hours. It just poured out of the fill port.

I was at a vape shop and a friend was vaping on a Lemo Drop. And was interesting he took another drop out of the case and installed a coil and the ____ing thing would not Fire the coil no matter what we did or what mod we put it on

Leaking isn't something I expected when I ordered a Lemo 2. It's at the post office this morning and should be out for delivery today.

The leaking problems have to be something that's easily solved with the right o-rings. After all, it's just a bottom cap on the coil deck.

My Lemo 2 leaked like a sieve at the top fill port, and I put it in the garbage.

That could be a flaw from the factory. PBusardo highlighted that his had clear gel residue where the fill port slides back and forth It looked like juice or some kind of lubricant they put on during the build to help it slide.
