A real leader would purge the quacks, frauds and charlatans out of the health establishment, not pander to them.

Yeah, but then there would still be Michelle, which is likely his most immediate problem with smoking (or vaping).

No , seriously.
Mail a mod to the White House.
I'd send hime one, if I'd be residing in the US.
Cuz it's simple: All the studies, all the hogwash, all the bickering, all the wheeling and dealing and interest mongering will pale before the one thing:

Personal, first-hand experience.

The kind everyone of us had when we took up vaping. And the overwhelming majority of vapers never looked back.

Why deny The Man that opportunity ?

"Yes, you may"

Rather than a mod, I think an ego mini with a mini protank 2 would be a better starting point for most people. For some people, I dare say an njoy king disposable would be the most effective demonstration of the possibilities. It took me some time to adapt to anything bigger than an eroll, and I know that many smokers have aversions to anything much bigger than a cigarette.

I wonder if Obama has ever tried any kind of vaping device. He might have, though I doubt it. Maybe he tried some crappy e-cig and drew negative conclusions from that.

It would be a good idea, but alas it would never make it past his "handlers". In order to get a vape, he would have to ask for one, no way would the establishment let one through on a lark.

I'm not talking one... Starter kit with a nice polite letter about what vaping did for you on a personal level. No politics, no republicans, no democrats, just US citizens letting the man know that there is an option. One that works....

One kit surely will get stuck. What about a hundred from vapers all over the country ? A thousand ? A ...

How many vapers are there ? Sure the man is being fed processed and rehashed and probably slanted data. And he certainly's got enough to deal with that he needs highly condensed info on a ton of stuff just to get through the day without information overload. But a truck full of starter kits is kinda making a point...that behind all the paperwork, the USofA is still full of Americans....

He should have the character to stand up for his smoking, maybe not doing it in front of impressionable kids, but still be straight about it. Yes, he is human, but he is also the leader. A part of being a leader is honesty in presentation. If not open and honest, don't expect people to follow.

I don't have much concern for a leader's "smarts" because they have advisors. I do care about values and morals.

A. Hypocrisy - plain and simple.
B. The comments section is interesting - let him smoke being prominent item I saw.
C. Dual users (like myself) who smoke occasionally just got a huge bump in political reality, except for A (above) which amounts to if Obama moderately smokes, that's okay, but if anyone else does, for shame.
D. Anti-smokers can kiss my (cigarette) .....
