Can any of you with those pretty wood mods from discount vapers tell me.... Am I better off with a gorgeous cone one with the 3.7v, or a smaller vv one (but vv only reaches 4.2, so its not a really high voltage... i usually vape around 4v with my resurrector 1.7ohms, if that gives you an idea).

I may be looking to buy sooner rather than later, as it looks like litecigsusa is going to give me a refund for my Vision Tox VV I just bought, as the manufacturer made an error and the replacements wont be available for a while. So my budget just got a little influx of $ I wasn't counting on.

Do any of you have both the small ones with the low voltage VV and the standard 3.7v, and if so, do you have a preference? I definitely can't buy both, and I'm a 'one mod a year, maybe' kind of budget vaper.

Anyone else have inexpensive places for wood mods, so I know my options?

Thanks guys, so much. I know I'm throwing a ton of questions at you. I've been very active vaping for 3 yrs, really majorly hunting all the shops for upwards of a year, and I've never run into these wood beauties before. Any other wood options under say the $100ish price point avail in marketplace?

BTW, if you're looking for cheaper than the trippy tips (which I adore but can't afford) something like this, in the gold, would look great on a wood mod with goldish burling in the wood... i think it would bring out the golden highlights). And for $2... cheap.

My goal is a gorgeous low budget wood mod, with one of those Phiniac handblown tanks on it, custom, with a moon and some purple wildflowers (homage to my mom, who's name was Heather moon)... that would make me very happy indeed. ;)

If you are OK with a 3.7V box mod, check out the Sneaky Pete Mods. $65, well built, good looking, with your choice of woods. Here is a pic of mine:

Add a couple of batteries and a charger from Super T, and you are still under $100.

orachel, might I recommend Maxiumum Vapors. They have some gorgeous and REASONABLY priced wood mods.

Here is a link for you: Woodies

I just ordered the Max Woodie which should be here in the next few days. I will definitely post some pics!

Thank you both so much! The Sneaky Pete is awesome, and I really love the VV functionality of the Weird Woody VV. I theeenk, from what I've seen so far (so many gorgeous ones!), I think I want that same one that txtumbleweed had w redwood burl with the cone on top from discount vapers, and also the weird woody vv. I think the redwood is a 3.7v, so that and the vv are a great combination.

BTW, txtumbleweed, i put you down as referrer at discount vapers. Not sure if that gets you anything, but crossing fingers!

Thanks guys! I really appreciate it, and guessing any other new wood mod lovers finding this thread will be thankful for the links, too!

Jagellpuff, aren't they incredible? I'm so getting one, too, though I might have to wait a week or two. Glad the links they all posted for me are helping out some other people, too. I just had no idea gorgeous wood mods could be grabbed in this price range. ;)

The price range also scares me as I want something that works not just look good. That said I am already searching batts. I am new to mods. So far I just have the Lavatube, but have a Power VV Grip on order from Sweet Vapes. I have only AW batts and from what I read, those seem to be what to stick with. I like the 4000mAh 18650, but it's Ultrafire. The highest AW 18650 is 2900mAh and is IC not IMR. So not sure if that is an issue. I hope someone or you can maybe answer these for me. But I do want one!!!

If you believe the specs on super t's site, the aw 18650 2600mah batts are the best performers overall.

I only have the Redwood Burl 14650 one but the VV 18650 ones are very nice too although they don't have a cone yet. They will be more expensive with a cone when they get them. I use the 1.7 ressurector with this one and it works very good with it. I really like the size and feel of this one but they are so pretty I will probably get a 18650 one of these days or see if the guy that makes them will make me one out of one of my 18650's I already have.
There simply isn't an adequate description of difference in using one of these for a couple of days and then picking up a regular tube mod. I end up rubbing it all the time when I'm not vaping it because it is so smooth. lol I know it sounds a bit strange but when you get one you will understand. lol The only thing that can go wrong with them is the switch and they are replaceable for 10.00. I ordered an extra one from another vendor that sells just the pv.

I'm not a batt person, I just research them as I go along.. fall in love with something, research the batt thing for it. Sounds like these guys gave you some pretty good info on that, though.

And txtumbleweed... so glad to hear there will be an 18650. Not sure if I'll end up going that way or the smaller one, but of all the ones I've seen, yours does the most for me aesthetically. Its just pretty! And those rounded lines! I've had some really good laquered wood pieces over the years (not pvs, just boxes and furniture) and I know just what you mean about the incredible smoothness. Feels almost like liquid, but not squishy. ;)

FYI these are brand new mods only in that the pvs (that have been around for a long time) are being sent out to a woodworker, then back to DV to be sold. This is his first batch for sale, but the pvs themselves have been around for awhile ;)
