Let's see those WOOD mods!!!

It is supposed Redwood Burl too. I picked out the wood before he made it and it came out how I imagined. It depends on the light and angle to how much red tint shows up.

Well, whatever it is, it is completely gorgeous. But it looks mostly green to me with a few specks of red in it. And to be honest, THAT is what I am liking - that green looking tint.

oh!! While poking around on the web today looking for places that sell exotic wood blanks, I happened across this site: Exotic Wood Blanks - Bell Forest Products They seem to have some excellent prices on wood blanks that would be perfect in size for these PVs.

Now it makes me wonder if it would be possible to purchase the wood blank we like and have it sent somewhere to someone talented to be made into a PV.

tx and tigerladytx (man, is it me, or is there a whole lotta texas going on in this thread? lol)... I talked to Gentry about the wood on tx's gorgeous mod. It is definitely a redwood burl, but looked totally different than the redwood burls he currently has available. All the others were decidedly 'red' while the gorgeous one tx has definitely has a decidedly green look to it, esp on the close ups of the square piece of wood he sent me. That greenish color just takes the contrast way up on the wood burling, which is what I love about it. I'm hoping that by the time I'm ready to order in a few weeks, he has something vaguely similar. This conversation was probably a week or so ago, so not sure how current that info is.

I'm sure he probably would if he didn't have one you liked. He usually posts pictures of the wood he has on hand. This is a picture of the same mod and this picture it looks completely different.
