What fun Andy the Thatcher. I'm sure it is good to have your old friendly vmod back at home.

Eddie seems to be our resident expert on rda's and modding them for the Vmod and I'm sure he'll check in soon. I think there is a squid and maybe an octopus and a Y thingy & the one Katdahling mentioned as well as the RMII and a some newer ones??? I just use the Hybrid slant coils!.

There's lots of info in that entire thread Andy. A bunch of contributors to give you an idea of what rdas can be modded and how. I have found that a single o-ring just wider than the Vmod chamber works best to seal. Sandwiches between the rba and chamber...

Hi Vmod folks! Have an XL coming from a good classies deal, I went ahead and ordered a few things from Vapage to go with it, including a couple AMG Hybrid atomizers from Vapage. I'm planning to order another couple atties, I like to change stuff up and see what works for me. I was curious if anyone uses Ikenvape's i06 atties with their Vmod, or what other brands you devotees are enjoying these days?

Hey Jack. I've used io6 on a vmod, but it's been quite awhile and before the new slant coil spec vapage hybrid was made. It was quite nice, but a bit tricky working out having a trip tip assembly fit with cone. There have been some better solutions developed since we modded a 306 cover, which is what we first did, but I am not current on what is now available.

In addition to the Hybrid, 306, aero and hh357 are most likely the most popular premade attys. There are a couple other very similar ones as well, but I don't recall the names as I pretty much just use the Hybrid. Some are modding and using Rebuildable Dripping Atty's and others will surely tell you about them.

Just in case you didn't see it, there are some links on the first post of this thread to a few blogs that Fourthrok assembled that could be quite useful to a vmod owner. Do check them out, if you haven't.

Happy Vaping!

Pierces you clever ba**tard! I have to get a bag of those RIGHT NOW. I've been trying to mold plastic for a button! Smh. Thank god for you guys and ecf...

I had to walk around Hobby Lobby for several hours to come up with my "cleverness"! It is working quite well though, I used two part epoxy to glue it, oh and you will need to drill the under side a little to get a good fit. I broke two before I got one to work., it is way more comfortable! :)

So after a couple of days playing I found myself buying a Kick 2 to brighten things up a bit while I start looking at bottom feeding atty's.

Nice to have it back but somehow every single atty I had decided to blow up within a couple of days of getting the VMod back including the Aero that wouldn't die lol

Shame as I had been ignoring the Vapage 50% off sale emails to boot....that'll learn me !

Calling all modders, tinkerers, and Kickers...

I decided to Kick (1) my XL. Everything's fine in terms of fit with an 18490 batt. The tape, tho not perfectly straight, is managing to make the proper connections. Okie dokie, good to go!

Screw on a carto (part way), and WHOOOSH, it's firing! HUH? Unscrew, screw, unscrew, screw, still firing.

Be gentle when you identify and post the user error please.

Responding because I don't want you left hanging despite having zero experience kicking the Vmod. Obviously the positive is making contact somewhere. Just have to find where. Sorry I can't be more help Kat. Kicking the Vmod is a great idea if you use higher resistance cartomizers and atomizers but, doesn't make sense imho if you're rebuilding. The thicker 28g wire lasts longer but, it's resistance is too low for the kick and it's 1.3ohm cut off..

Pics would help a lot here... As Eddie mentioned it sounds like the positive is making contact. I know on mine it wouldn't sit flush in the battery housing and I had to make a spacer to get it to seat properly and straight. It was ever so slightly that it stuck up into the button area. I know it was a very compact and tight fit. Try to take some pics so we can have a look see...

Ok, I see what's going on in here! Hmmm...

The Kick (Evolve, Kick1) is definitely too high up and even putting it in various ways causes it to sit way up near the firing pin. There may be a teensy unch of space, but barely enuf for me to depress the switch. It also sits crookedly on the batt because of the button top.

Let's try seating it another way: (fail)

This pic shows how it WOULD work... if only the battery compartment was longer... :(

Kat, that is exactly how mine used to fit. I took a rubber washer for a faucet and modded it for mine to keep it down inside and away from the switch housing. I had to cut the washer to where it looked like a "C" shape to go around the potentiometer. I don't have a pic of it on my computer, but will take one and post it later tonight. The washer is basically the same diameter as the kick and the same height as the post on top.

maybe some help here, he also modded it a bit?

The first 17 times I watched that video...

The minute I heard cut this trim that solder tape glue run a wire red goes to green green goes to purple... welp, I thought, LR cartos, here I come.

Thanks Race, but if I can't do it with tweezers and a nail file, I'm rather out of the game. :)

The second video... ooooooooo have to listen to that one again! What an adorable accent! :D

Ok, I don't have any 5P coins around but seems to me a dime would work. What do you all think?
