I'm running a little ahead of you in my confused state. Before I thinned the juice I took off the drip tip to see what was going on during squeezies. When it seemed like I was applying a lot of pressure to the bottle and I thought nothing was happening, it actually was feeding to the atty - but very slowly. It was taking a lot of pressure to feed that VG. The atty seemed to be getting liquid, but it still didn't taste right - like it was slightly harsh/burnt - still not getting enough liquid.

BTW: Yes, I did prime it from the top before starting. A lot more than Vapage said was necessary. (But hey? What have they right in these instructions so far?)

After thinning it's feeding much better and any harshness is gone. (Along with quite a bit of flavor...) I'll accept it as part of the learning process for now.

The deal with the Vapage instructions: They make a big deal about that tilting and watching for bubbles bit "priming the system" and filling the mysterious "transfer port". Then they say when you tip upright and squeeze whatever is in the mysterious "transfer port" gets "sent into the system." I believe "the system" is supposed to be the atty here.

Do they have to make it sound more complicated than it really is? You're saying there are no mystery ports & chambers - it's just a plain in-line tilty squeezy feedy system? Like a Vision Aurora - except much huger.

You sound like me explaining things. I was loling while reading. But I do agree. Just tilt it for about 10 seconds and see if you get a bubble. If not, you're probably good. I lay mine flat all the time, so I think it stays juiced on its own and rarely squink the bottle unless its spitting.
Now with the hybrid carto, mine makes all sorts of noises and vapor is way down. Not sure the dealio there...

Ugh Rick I am sorry you and the VMOD got off to a bad start. I know I was always harping on about how much I like mine at every opportunity...

That whole bit in the instructions about watching for the bubble had me on tenterhooks for the first day or so. Eventually I just figured out it wasn't necessary and adapted my feeding technique.

Now I do what others do, little angle down (about 20 degrees past fully horizontal) and then a really light pressure on the bottle while righting the VMOD back to vertical. As you are bringing it back to vertical keep the pressure on the bottle and it will eventually blow air into the atty. This blowing of air helps to move juice into the atty I think. I dunno the mechanics of it really, I just know it seems to work for me.

I usually vape bobas in it (no dilution) so when it's cold I do have to increase the pressure on the bottle. I occasionally will flood the atty (when I am not thinking and feed it too often, or press too hard, or don't bring it back to vertical quickly enough) and get the old molten juice splatters on the tongue thing. I switched out my drip tip for a slightly longer one and that almost eliminated that issue. So even if I get a slightly flooded atty I can just vape through it. I've only once had to flip it upside down and drain some juice out of the atty.

I got frustrated a bit at first but I think I got used to it fully (and it got used to me) after a week or so. Now, after almost 5 months I pretty much don't use anything else.

You'll get it my friend. The whole feeding will eventually become intuitive and you'll know exactly how much pressure will fill the atty with just the right amount of juice (I hope)

I think breaking in the hybrid atty is part of the problem. Mine never vaped real well til about the 2nd or 3rd bottle. Cisco atties are the same, esp. the HH357s. i have noticed this with "better" atties.

I would often put them up til next day, w/juice still in them, and then they vaped great, i guess having a good "soak" can help them.

Good shout there Racehorse, I didn't think of that - but you are absolutely right.

does the "soaking" apply to the cartos as well? usually on my UDCT carto tanks, i can wait a 15mins or so before I can vape. Ive run out of AMG attys and have resorted to my supply of Hybrid cartos until after Christmas when cash is a little more free flowing. I primed the carto like I normally would; gradually soaking the batting over so many minutes.. anyway, it took two days before it would quit gurgling and spitting at me and producing very little vapor. Its now working great with just a slightly muted flavor vs. the AMG now though.

How are you guys cleaning the Vapage attys?

Normally I would give a regular atty a few minutes simmer in hot water, and then do a dry burn if needed. Not sure if there are dookickies and whatnots in there that would be damaged by regular cleaning. (Just what is that bit that looks like cardboard in the center of the atty? That's no wicking material I've ever seen in an atty before.)

BTW: I did the tubing mod suggested on a different thread to change it to blind squonking. World of difference - for the better - with that simple modification.

Received a vmod a week or so ago ..
Been dialing it in, it was a bit weak with the supplied silo & with the 2.0 hybrid attys. ( 18mg nic )
so ... I cut about 1/8 inch off one of the silo carto condoms & fitted that inside the cone to tighten the draw a bit, better but still too weak.
Ordered a 1.5 hybrid atty & tried this AM - much, much better. Really not a huge difference, just enough to get a more satisfying throat hit & slightly warmer, thicker vapor.
The newer hybrid attys seem pretty well made, time will tell as to longevity.
Sure makes the device more enjoyable - for me at least.
The only fault I can relate is that I seem to have to squonk to some degree just about before every hit or it'll go dry, a minor inconvenience I suppose on a device that the battery lasts all day & the liquid for 2 or more.
To anyone desiring a bit more gusto from the vmod - try the 1.5 attys.

Okay, so I'll be ordering a VMod 2.0 and some other stuff next week. I only have a $200.00 budget, and I need to stock up on some atomizers and juice as well. So can anyone give me a working coupon code to bring my $150.00 cart down a bit?

I'm ordering the Premium kit, since I don't have batteries or a charger. I'll probably get some AW's in the future, but the stock ones should be good for now. I'm also grabbing a 2-pack of the atomizers, 2 replacement bottles, 2 o-ring kits and a 2-pack of batteries.

Any help?

Hope I'm not too late. JP I'd wait if you can for a sale. Don't get the premium kit. A much better choice would be getting a 4bay nitecore charger($20-25) and some Panasonic 18650PF ($13 (2)on fasttech) charger is available for cheaper there too. You'd wait a bit so it might allow for a sale to happen and you'll have the gear for whatever you choose to do outside the vmod. It's a better choice, believe me. For the$40 difference you can get a premium charger and 4 top of the line batteries that can be used in any 18650 mod and carry 2900mah and are safe chemistry. They're a better battery than the AW....

Maximize that budget. Also allows for more atomizers.
