Sorry, but I'm confused. Aero BF? There's a bottom feeder called the Aero? Would love a link. :)

These have been out for a while Kat, but I don't see much discussion about them on ECF. Here's the companies website. Give it a minute to load the graphics :)

I see a few reviews on the net, but nothing in English and I have no idea if they are selling many or how to buy. I could be totally missing the boat here, but I think Aero hasn't really hit the market yet in any big way yet.

ETA: Todd has a couple of reviews out on the Aero tube mods. The electronics look quite interesting, but physical mod quality seems to me to be a bit lacking.

D'OH! Thanks Ryedan! I DID see those a long, long time back, and totally forgot about them. With the advent of the Aerotank, the Aro coils, and the loose usage of "BF" amongst vapers, I got confused. Thanks for clearing that up!

I know nothing about them hitting the market (obviously if I couldn't even remember them in the first place :D), so it makes me wonder if they ever did get off the ground. Perhaps in Europe?

Have the terms and conditions changed at Vapage?

In the terms and conditions box that you have to check in order to complete the sale, they now state that ALL products are sold "as-is" and there are no warranties either "expressed or implied". I don't remember this clause in prior orders.

In the product description pages, a 6 month warranty is still listed for the V-mod.

I am confused by this.

I am a total noob at vmod, I don't have one yet IOW. Just saw the coupon code on Deals and Steals, the Vmod 2.0 Premium kit for $39.99 and bought one.

What else do I need to buy? I see people are happy with RDAs on them, but I don't know anything at all about bottom-feeder RDAs. I have never used cartos or 510 attys, just tanks, RDAs and kayfuns. Sounds great, a bottom-feeder with a RDA.

So sorry to be asking stupid questions, but I've wanted to try a bottom feeder for some time and for $40, not much to lose.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
The coupon, BTW, repost from D & S: VM6CX4

Hi Barbchris.

Some of the best info on the Vmod is compiled in some blogs that are now part of the first post in this thread. After you get the mod, you might want to check them out as they cover various tips for using the Vmod bottom feeder.

Here's a thread that is much more than it's title. It covers several RBA's that can work with the Vmod. I believe there are a few other models that work out now as well. As I like the vmod 2.0 for a stealthy device that fits well in pocket or purse, I often use the vapage attys that come with the kit and have never used an RBA with it.

Ha-ha. Me too. I saw that coupon deal and I'm in here checking it out. I've been lusting after a Reo for awhile, checking classies but it's out of the budget for a long time to come : ( I haven't looked into anything else - till now. I'm not a huge fan of cartos and the propietary thing bugs me a bit. (the 2.0) and I don't know how long 14500 batteries last - but if it's only 3 or 4 hours, it's not gonna work : ( Kinda bummed because I do like small and stealthy. Most my mods are 18350 sized. So if anyone can elighten me, I'd sure like to hear about it. The price is right, that's for sure.

Proprietary?

Lets check the definition from Dictionary.com:

5.manufactured and sold only by the owner of the patent, formula, brand name, or trademark associated with the product..."

As cartos, 510, 306 and various hybrid type attys are available from all sorts of manufactures as well as 14500 and 18650 batteries and standard drip tips, I have no idea where this idea that the vmod 2.0 or XL is proprietary comes from. One can use any "standard" diameter atty or cartomizer with it, and some dripping only attys (no feeder hole in bottom required as it can feed through the air holes.) work as well. It uses e-liquid from your favorite supplier or DIY, too. The only thing I know of that is proprietary is the bottle--and 2 come with the kit, I believe, and are often available at Vapage.com. if you need more.

The original vmod, but NOT the 2.0 or the XL, only used vapage attys and carto's.

A 14500 battery will last as long as any other battery with the same mAh as it would in any other all mechanical mod (which the vmod is, btw.) That very well may be just a few hours for many of us chain vapers.

tearose already gave you some great info, I just wanted to add a bit about the batteries. You should use IMR not ICR batteries in mechanical mods because those are the ones that don't explode if they have a short. Unfortunately, IMR are lower mAh than ICR.

The AW IMR 18350 is 700 mAh and their 14500 IMR is 600 mAh, so about 15% less. Their 'protected' 14500, which is a ICR battery, is 750 mAh. If you're used to a 18350 in a regulated mod, know that you're likely going to get less vape time with the same battery in a mech mod because you will probably not like the vape below about 3.6-3.7 volts while in a regulated mod you can take it down to the shutdown voltage which is usually around 3.2V.

Hope that helps. Best of luck with whatever you decide to try :)

Thanks! I will check it out. It looks like a nice little device, stealthy like you said. Interested in trying bottom-feeder, but can't afford a REO right now, largely due to the fact I'm a juice junky and love trying new juices.

And aikanae1, let's not forget the CUTE factor! :D

Ha-ha-ha! I wasn't expecting a fellow queen of bling to show off a duckwrap and tip! That is too adorably cute (and maybe my excuse to get that xmas drip tip this year?)! Where has Vmod been my whole life?

I hope the fact that I use 100% VG won't cause an issue - that's prob a big reason why I'm not a fan of carts. I just opened a box of mad mixing and lab supplies so the Vmod is looking sweet for testing new potions. I luv vapemail but I can't afford anymore many more great deals. I gotta stop finding them! My sweet tooth will be soooooo happy though.

My idea of propietary came from watching old, old videos that are seriously out of date. It's nice to see people still enjoying them 2 and 3 years later. As much as I like stealthy, I also enjoy budget devices that compare favorably (and some better than) higher end counterparts and it's not a clone!!! All the videos said "no leaks, ever, with Vmod". Not so with the Reo.

I noticed that Reo had an Igo on their site, has anyone tried that?
How difficult is it to mod for drippers- or add a plastic tube?
Those things didn't seem beyond my expertise.

LOL! "Bottom feeder" doesn't reffer to just fish anymore.

I'm excited to try something new!

Your fellow kween o' bling is also the kween o' wacky! Thanks aik. I really do love "fun vaping".

VG has and most likely will continue to be a thorn in the side of any carto, sadly. I do know one can thin it with distilled water, but I have not a drop of experience in that. (ha ha. got a pun in, didn't ya, KD)

I do want to say that in my experience, NOTHING is totally leak-proof. We'd like them all to be, but it's just not the case. With the VMOD however, it's much less likely due to the configuration and design of the chamber. Excess liquid will flow back into the bottle rather than pool around the drip well.

Keep us posted once you've given it a few spins around the block!

BUT ... I DID finally find the skull shell! Woot! And the blue shell is purdy too!
