Neo, Empiremods is a 10 minute drive if you ever need a few things especially if something breaks... They have great hours..
Was there last week. All sorts of rebuildables, a few mechs, lots of egos, driptips and whatever..

Shoot me a PM if you ever need to know more. We can go over it over a heart attach hero at Christinas :)

VV (variable voltage) can change the entire playing field for you. Now before I start, one thing to know is the Twist is variable voltage but you only have about 4 or 5 settings so you can change it for some good results but you can't fine tune it like the VV devices that have a Display screen and allow you to go from 3.0 to 6.0 in .1 increments.

3 things that using VV does for me is allows me to tweek how much vapor can i can put out (in some cases I dont want to fill a room with steam, in other cases i do  ) It can help me tweek how hard of a throat hit I get (using different ratios of PG/VG in your e-liquid helps this as well) and the most important reason for me is all about the flavor. Some flavors (most flavors) change depending on the voltage you are using. Depending on your personal taste and the type of flavor you might prefer vaping a fruit flavor at a lower voltage, or a tobacco at a higher voltage. I love getting flavors that are a mix of cinnamin and a fruit and vaping it at higher voltage because it taste like a pie that came out of the oven, all nice a slightly warm...YUMMY, and now I take a pause so I can vape some Cinful apple.

Ok I'm back! So anyway Short version of all that is using VV allows you to fine tune the vape for your liking. The Twist is an excellent stepping stone for this it will let you go up to 4.8 volts. I personally went from using a Ego C upgrade that I kept on 4.2 volts to a Lavatube that went from 3.0 to 6.0 with a press of a button, and now I have gotten rid of everything else and primarily using a Provari with a protank.

As I mentioned earlier I have been thinking about getting a twist to use at the pool. If the ego is working great for you and the size is good, then you can either just keep using hat and try a protank on it, or if you do want another device check out the Twist. If you start thinking you might want something a bit more then that make sure to do your homework first. I enjoyed my Lavatube V2 but wished I had either spent a little extra cash to get something nicer, or a little less cash to get something that was equal to it. I actualy found a website last night that was selling eVic starter kits for $85, I also clicked buy LOL!!! but then I saw soemthing else that was shiny, got distracted and forgot about it till now....

Yes, that is a nice write up - Good job, Frantic9k! One small note from the editors came across my desk, however. ;) The eGo-C Twists as well as the Vision Spinner are indeed variable voltage batteries, but you can vary the voltage at any point in between the markings on the dial. The eGo-C is marked from 3.2 - 4.8 in increments of .2 (3.2, 3.4, 3.6, etc.) and you can stop anywhere in between the marks to get an infinite number of settings. How accurate this dial is in RL, I have no idea, not having a ohm/volt meter to measure output. So, they are actually able to fine tune voltage more than a Provari or VAMO, just at a lower range.

I have been using eGo-Twists 1000 mAh since last Sept when I found ECF and still have the same 4, yes four, in rotation. (back ups for back ups ) I love them for going out and about with, lately with Kanger tanks, like the T3, Evod and soon to have Protank, but I still use them with ViVi Nova tanks as well. I would, and do, recommend these to anyone wanting to start vaping. The only thing I might change when buying replacements, or recommending, is to get the lower, shorter 900 mAh, or 650 mAh version. Even though the 1000 stays keeps a charge a long time, its length is also REAL long (190mm or 7.5 inches) with a T3 clearomizer on it and it sticks out of all but the deepest of pockets.

Question- Why are RBA's considered so difficult ? Just conversing on the Newcomers Forum when I was chided for suggesting one when the OP wanted 'help taking his vaping to the next level'. The OP posted a spending limit of about 80 Euros, so I suggested a Vamo and a Phoenix RBA. Boy, that opened up a can of worms! Now that I've had my RM2's for a month or two I can't imagine going back, and now that I've gotten used to them I think RBA's a re a lot less difficult than they are made out to be. Or is that just me ?

Agreed. I recommend them to anyone. I don't find rba's rda's or even genesis atty's to be all that difficult. Genesis atty's can be a bit more fidgety especially at low ohms on a provari but certainly doable. Unless said person has vision problems or dexterity issues I don't see why anyone can't wrap their own coils. Also have to consider the equipment they're using. I wouldn't really recommend making any kind of coil without some way to check their ohms. Just my 2 cents.

The Phoenix RBA's are a cinch. The AGA I have is definitely fidgety. Actually, I get tired of it. Besides, the RBAs deliver a better vape anyway IMO.

Have you tried the ss cable with the diaper silica sleeve yet? I'm sure you saw me hitting X up on that. Been using it in my genny for a few days now. So much easier than any other way I've tried. That silica sleeve cuts out any hot spots and shorts. Final verdict on it though....it's working for me so I don't have to drip and drive. Yes don't drip and drive! Otherwise I'm still tethered to my lil rda. I will say it's as close to the flavor and vapor as dripping as I've experienced thus far. Have an rsst and some 28 ga kanthal coming so I'll be experimenting more with it.

Honestly, When I first heard abot RBAs/RDAs I was very intimidated. Since I have met you all and read through this forum, watched a ton of youtube videos I don't think it is going to be all that hard. I am confident that after a few tries I will be able to build Protank, Igo-L and Phoenix with no issues what so ever. Matter of fact I am hoping to pick up some Kanthal and silica really soon so i can start rebuiling my protank coils!!!

My faith in genesis is restored, finally I have one that's usable outside my home.
Meet the Arrow, a completely leak-free genesis! Really smart design, with lock-able drip-tip and airholes.

I don't think I've put a picture of my latest copper mod here yet...
P1010023_zpsdd1e5291.jpg

The cartotank isn't usually on it, but it fits the width nicely and I'm not going to take another picture just to show what it looks like with a rebuildable atty on it. The IGO-W came in today, the two stock .5mm air holes aren't going to work out. The middle tube section is the same material as the rest, I hit it with a heavy wire brush wheel for added texture on purpose. It's using an 18650 in the picture, but without the middle section it fits an 18500 perfectly. The end caps are completely flat, and everything sits flush on top. I would love to check the voltage drop, I have a feeling it's very low. I realize it's not a true mechanical because of the momentary switch, but it is a very good switch and I've read nothing but great things about it. Time will tell.

Tank is full of Oompa, BTW. My RBA's are full of other flavors, I needed to cover the spectrum.

No I haven't tried that Dante. I should whenever I get a chance. My resistance on the genny keeps moving around (always up). I get tired of it. It works for a couple/few days then the resistance starts climbing. Gets old. I have better things to do with my time than to battle with a $25 piece of metal and glass.

Like I said, the RichMan's came before the CoOp gear! Glad to hear other folks have their stuff now, though. It won't be too much longer. ;) (sigh)

As for RBAs/RDAs and original taste, I think I need a Phoenix! I'm starting to side with Papaw and REOs bottom readers! My Vmod is still kicking my ....!!! Now I'm torn between a Provari and the REO-Grand...

I just rebuilt my first T3 atty today, and did it with flying colors! 2.5 mm silica, 32g wire, 6/5 wrap and it's hitting 1.9 ohm on my Shorty VAMO and rocking El Toto!!! Which, btw, was the same juice that clogged and eventually snapped the original coil. Kinda like Hair o' the Dog! ;)

They say that if you can get an AGA to work properly, other RBAs will be a piece of cake, easy as pie -

CAKE & PIE, MAN! CAKE & PIE!!!

OK so this on the lower end of the spectrum for some of you but I stopped by a local B&M and bought what I think is going to be the perfect setup for me.

Stopped by VapeNY in Jamaica, Queens today. Was using a Vivi Nova mini and like the ease of use, but flavor is always muted. They had the this top coil clearo called the Cutie from Jessy on one of their PVs and let me put my drip tip on it. They were really pushing me towards it over cartotanks and other things. All I can say is wow. The flavor you get out of this thing is incredible. Bought one right away with an extra coil. They are currently sold out (there were two left, and the guy behind me snagged the last one). I am definitely getting two more as soon as they come in.

Extremely sturdy. Both top and base are heavy. If you're used to the weight of the nova these are heavier. The base has more of a rubber band around it than an O ring, it completely seals it tight. No way for the thing to leak. Very tight fit, and then screwed in. Took a look at the coil. Similar to a Nova coil but different. Can't really explain. Maybe slightly longer, wicks are loose, not through the coil. Coil has a very small amount of wick through it, can barely see.

Vapor production is as good at a Vivi Nova, if not better. I don't care really how much vapor there is, as long as there's some. But the flavor? I'm really tasting my juice now. I'm tasting things in Dragon's Fire I didn't know were there. And I love that juice.

They should hopefully be getting some in soon. They said they 800 of them in before and were sold out in 3 weeks. I'm glad I stopped in. Was getting frustrated by the muted flavor of my evod and Vivi nova. Price might be high but definitely worth every penny. The crazy thing is they seem to be the ONLY vendor that has these things. I can't find them anywhere, even after Google searching. The company is called Jessy International I think. VapeNy is the only carrier.

Its got an ego connection, which I prefer. After thinking about it for awhile, the simpler the better for me. Screw it on and go, no adjusting, I'm finally happy with my setup. :)
