Honestly I feel that the moment I have money, I buy vape gear! That's what all those links I posted on the other page were about, my Vape fund is getting to get a little plump so Im window shopping!!!!!!
VV (variable voltage) can change the entire playing field for you. Now before I start, one thing to know is the Twist is variable voltage but you only have about 4 or 5 settings so you can change it for some good results but you can't fine tune it like the VV devices that have a Display screen and allow you to go from 3.0 to 6.0 in .1 increments.
3 things that using VV does for me is allows me to tweek how much vapor can i can put out (in some cases I dont want to fill a room with steam, in other cases i do) It can help me tweek how hard of a throat hit I get (using different ratios of PG/VG in your e-liquid helps this as well) and the most important reason for me is all about the flavor. Some flavors (most flavors) change depending on the voltage you are using. Depending on your personal taste and the type of flavor you might prefer vaping a fruit flavor at a lower voltage, or a tobacco at a higher voltage. I love getting flavors that are a mix of cinnamin and a fruit and vaping it at higher voltage because it taste like a pie that came out of the oven, all nice a slightly warm...YUMMY, and now I take a pause so I can vape some Cinful apple.
Ok I'm back! So anyway Short version of all that is using VV allows you to fine tune the vape for your liking. The Twist is an excellent stepping stone for this it will let you go up to 4.8 volts. I personally went from using a Ego C upgrade that I kept on 4.2 volts to a Lavatube that went from 3.0 to 6.0 with a press of a button, and now I have gotten rid of everything else and primarily using a Provari with a protank.
As I mentioned earlier I have been thinking about getting a twist to use at the pool. If the ego is working great for you and the size is good, then you can either just keep using hat and try a protank on it, or if you do want another device check out the Twist. If you start thinking you might want something a bit more then that make sure to do your homework first. I enjoyed my Lavatube V2 but wished I had either spent a little extra cash to get something nicer, or a little less cash to get something that was equal to it. I actualy found a website last night that was selling eVic starter kits for $85, I also clicked buy LOL!!! but then I saw soemthing else that was shiny, got distracted and forgot about it till now....
Question- Why are RBA's considered so difficult ? Just conversing on the Newcomers Forum when I was chided for suggesting one when the OP wanted 'help taking his vaping to the next level'. The OP posted a spending limit of about 80 Euros, so I suggested a Vamo and a Phoenix RBA. Boy, that opened up a can of worms! Now that I've had my RM2's for a month or two I can't imagine going back, and now that I've gotten used to them I think RBA's a re a lot less difficult than they are made out to be. Or is that just me ?
The Phoenix RBA's are a cinch. The AGA I have is definitely fidgety. Actually, I get tired of it. Besides, the RBAs deliver a better vape anyway IMO.

My faith in genesis is restored, finally I have one that's usable outside my home.
Meet the Arrow, a completely leak-free genesis! Really smart design, with lock-able drip-tip and airholes.

Have you tried the ss cable with the diaper silica sleeve yet? I'm sure you saw me hitting X up on that. Been using it in my genny for a few days now. So much easier than any other way I've tried. That silica sleeve cuts out any hot spots and shorts. Final verdict on it though....it's working for me so I don't have to drip and drive. Yes don't drip and drive! Otherwise I'm still tethered to my lil rda. I will say it's as close to the flavor and vapor as dripping as I've experienced thus far. Have an rsst and some 28 ga kanthal coming so I'll be experimenting more with it.

Honestly, When I first heard abot RBAs/RDAs I was very intimidated. Since I have met you all and read through this forum, watched a ton of youtube videos I don't think it is going to be all that hard. I am confident that after a few tries I will be able to build Protank, Igo-L and Phoenix with no issues what so ever. Matter of fact I am hoping to pick up some Kanthal and silica really soon so i can start rebuiling my protank coils!!!

No I haven't tried that Dante. I should whenever I get a chance. My resistance on the genny keeps moving around (always up). I get tired of it. It works for a couple/few days then the resistance starts climbing. Gets old. I have better things to do with my time than to battle with a $25 piece of metal and glass.
