SvoeMesto Kayfun Lite - Cloud 9 Vaping
View attachment 248328 That's how I do mine. I haven't had one single issue in either of them from the way I build.
As long as you don't stuff the wick it doesn't choke the channels and lead to burnt hits.. It was gently placed there only.
I'm using 29 gauge and that in that photo the final tally was 1.1 Ohms. Hits like a champ honestly. I just rewrapped a .8 on my other lite..
Using peaches and cream cotton.. I Don't do anything to it just wet it a little, slide it thru and cut the wet end off.
Well, hopefully by the time you make up your mind Intaste will have them back in stock. I'd recommend picking one up even if your mind isn't made up if/when they come back in stock.
Now to your other questions:
Devices I've vaped on: Carto tanks, ProTank, RSST, AGA, 5 or 6 different drippers. The difference with the K-Lite is a cerebral thing. Does the flavour improve by much? No.. but the quality of the vape is better. It's cleaner. More intense and oh so smooth on the inhale. I've never got DF to perform well with a mesh wick.. but that could just be me. Waiting on Ekowool to go back to Mesh/Cable wick.
Wick/Coil combo: I don't use cotton. Haven't gotten there yet, because I need to go through the 100feet of 3mm silica that I have (used about a foot so far, since I finished the 10 feet that I had before). I use 32 gauge wire to wrap the coil.
Juice feed on K-Lite: From what I gather, the wick is supposed to "rest" against the intake holes, so that juice can flow in, and soak up into the wick which can then provide it to the coil.
I'm going to try a wrap on doubled up 3mm wick the next time I build a coil on the K-Lite to put what XFoo said to test.
You must be using a mech.
The great thing about the Kayfun is that it is just as good on a vv as it is on a mech. Just increase your resistance for your Provari or Vamo. On my Vamo, I run it at 1.8ohms at 10 watts. Beautiful.
So you Kayfun users...I'm assuming the KF acts like a bottom coil in at least three respects. One, the vapor flows up a chimney surrounded by liquid thereby imparting a slight cooling action. Two, because the liquid feeds in the bottom, there should be no heavy/dark juice buildup common with top coils. Three, no tippy/swirelly is required.
Would this be correct?
