Where you you find those ohm meter things... the bricks with the 510 threaded connections? Looking around my usual retail haunts and haven't come across any yet.

I've seen some places sell them. Can't remember where. Google up "E-cig ohm reader" and see what you get. I use a multimeter from Home Depot. $20 and I use it around the house for other things. But for e-cigs, I just use my Provari or VAMO.

FYI...the capacity on the kayfun Lite is aprox 4.5 - 5.0 mls. However, you CANNOT fill it all the way. You have to leave some air in it or it will leak/flood. When filling upside down you want to leave a pea sized bubble visible in your window while it is tilted. I measured using one of April's hospital syringes she sent me awhile ago. It took exactly 4.0 mls still leaving the pea-sized air bubble. I started from a totally clean KFL.

See if you can pick up a 5.0ml syringe with 16 or 18 gauge blunt tip (long needle). It is perfect for filling/unfilling the Kayfun. Other devices like the Genesis too.

WooHoo! Congratulations Chak. Hope it gets to you soon. Dust is right, start putting away your other stuff (a slight exaggeration but not by much). Make sure you have adequate rebuilding supplies on hand. Might as well start right out with micro-coils. Which PV were you fixing on using with your Kayfun?

I was thinking I'd be using it on my VAMO till I save up enough for a Provari. Probably try it out on the Odyssey as well.

Get yourself some 30 ga Kanthal. A 10-wrap, 2mm ID, micro-coil will yield you about 1.8 ohms...perfect for your VAMO. You can use a sterile cotton ball for your wick. Find something that has about a 2mm diameter to wrap your micro-coil.

On first fill I Don't fill to the brim but after the first fill and wicking fine I go to town and completely fill. Works fine.

X, you use ekowool. Tell Volt about it. I'd just be talking out my ... end.

I'm hesitant about recommending Eko in this case. Half the people who use it don't care for it. It's biggest advantage is that it can take tremendous amounts of heat and doesn't shred at all. The braids, however, keep it from wicking effectively in certain applications. I know Grim Green uses 2mm Eko to rebuild his Protank heads and vapes at 11 watts, so it must be fine. In the Protank and similar BCCs, absorbancy has more to do with how tight the coil is on the wick, how thick the juice is, and the presence (or absence) of flavor wicks. The quality of the wick material is a minor factor being it is so short.

Congrevape....

NICE.... you know... you learn something every day... I finally found that thing! Thanks!

Now, the 91%.... for $58... THAT would have been in my possible price range.

Fffffuuuuu....!

Look up PBusardo's review of the Russizn on YouTube. I'd do it for you but I'm feeling kind of lazy right now. :)

Bronze... I KNOW it's a nice bit of kit... And I am sure if I had one, I'd love it....

But crap in a can... it's still expensive! :) Device-wise, I am finally almost finished with the 'need' stage (need another mech I think). Now the 'need' is building up my juices.... once I get a nice horde of juice (getting close... some more HHV vapemail coming tomorrow), then I can move on to the 'want' stage. Then I can think about all those neat little toys I've had my eye on... a Kayfun/Russian... a Reo.... etc.

You're a bad influence. :)

Thanks for attempting to help me out, Xfoo. I'll try to be more specific so you can narrow down my choices more easily.

The clearos I want to re-wick are top coil and use long wicks. The first batch I bought had very absorbent wicks that unfortunately shredded a bit. The best part about them was that after filling them with just a few drops, the juice would quickly shoot up the wicks and reach the coil in about one second. Subsequent batches changed the wicks to stronger ones. These particular ones take forever to absorb the juice, resulting in dry hits at times.

Should I buy the ones that you first suggested, or can you think of a better alternative to suit my needs? I don't mind if I have to pay a little extra for quality.

Funny enough, I got called that today too, for pretty much the same thing (recommending stuff to folks). My reply: How am I a BAD influence? I only suggest the GOOD stuff! :D

In all seriousness though, there's two ways to go about this madness. You can bide your time with cheap, last-a-while devices, or you can go balls out and get the good stuff when available. I tend to do both , but that's another story, for another time/thread.

Thanks,
I'll try that Bronze, but I'll have to wait. I have some 32g kanthal and silica on hand, however, my order of a roll of 30g and about 24 ft of silica won't be be here for a month or more as I had to mail it to my S.I.L.'s place. Amazon.com wouldn't ship silica overseas for some reason. Anyways, it'll be a while for that camel to get here. I'll make do with a normal coil and silica wrap till then.

In other news, the new 70/30 18mg HHV juices are kicking my ..... Not used to that blend - the TH is tearing my throat up even with all the water I've been drinking.

Maybe some silica sleeving would suit you better Voltron. It's has to be flexible but tough so that it can be slipped over other objects, so it has a loose, strong braid that stays together quite well. I'm using it right now in my Richman genny and it wicks like a champ! You'll need a paper clip while wrapping the coil though.
