OK...just broke down and purchased a kayfun Lite. I've heard so many good things about them and can use it on my PAPS or Zen2 tubes. I have tons of wicking material but what gauge of wire are you guys using? I like my coils 1.8-2.0.

I don't think you will be disappointed. I was blown away by the flavor coming out of this thing. Now I want another, and another and another. I have only used one of my carto tanks since I got the KFL. It's a great well built device.

Well bronze, you had a little foreshadowing when you said I was on a vape spending moratorium....

Found out this morning that, after nearly two decades of being there, my company is letting me go at the end of the year... guess I'm glad they didn't cut me loose right there, but needless to say... I'm not going to be spending anything on vaping until I gets me a new job.

Glad I bought all that juice recently...might have to last.

Sorry to hear that, Leo. Atleast you have some time to look for something while still pulling a paycheque. My last job, I was let go on the spot.. one of the downsides with being in IT. I guess the possibility that I could have brought their network to it's knees out of spite had something to do with it. Best of luck with the process of finding a new job.

I have been using Killers in my Carto Tanks and like that but think this will be easier to rebuild and a little more reliable once I get the hang of it. Also..I think they look sweet on the PAPS;)

Leo hope you can find a new job before this one ends. It is a good thing you have a little time to plan but still rough. Best of luck to you..

I do have the material to give that a try....I will never say anything bad about the Ego/Evod setup as that's what I've been using the majority of time the past couple of months..but ready to get back into my game..and having a nice atty that won't leak when leaving the house is just what I need for work.

Has anyone used silica wick in something like the Rsst? I want to use the thing but each time I coil it (no hot spots, 1.7 to 2.2 ohms) I'm just not getting the right taste. Using SS mesh and I'm wondering if that might be the issue. Also is there a particular type of wick I should be looking for?

Try turning the voltage waaay up. 2.2 ohms on a genny is pretty high. Those things need plenty of heat.

I did atleast 3 separate builds on the RSST's yesterday. Doubled up 3mm silica in one. U-Wick with 2mm Ekowool on the other. The 3mm silica is still alive, but I'm not too happy with it. The 2mm U-Wick with ekowool, would not wick properly AT ALL. First hit, ok, 2nd hit dry, 3rd hit..coils glowing. ARRRGGHHH! I re-wicked that one back again with 3/32 cable wire and the 2mm eko sock under the coils.

I'm really not having much luck with ekowool in the gennies. The only place that it works well is in the Drippers. I was hoping to do away with mesh and cable and find a way to use ekowool in the gennies. :(

That sound perfect...I have tons of 32 g wire;) I'm really excited to give this a go. I'm enjoying my killers in carto tanks but they can be a pain once in awhile and believe this might be just the ticket. I don't need any more mods...just attys to use with what I've got.

One more mod (maybe two) and I think I'll be done - Provari & REO Grand and I SWEAR that's it!

Ooh, sorry to hear about that. I'm feeling the same pressure this year from my bosses. Almost didn't get the contract renewed this term. Good luck on the job hunt.

Do what I did...give up on Gennies.

I'm almost ready to to be honest. It's not that they're difficult. I actually have fun tinkering with the thing. I'm just enjoying my vape with a cartotank much more. We'll see how it goes. The only other thing I want to try next is that Fogger tank (KF and KFL are way outside of what I'm willing to spend). If that doesn't work out, it's just going to be cartotanks for me.

I was excited to get my Genny. But it never lived up to my expectations. It was hard to admit defeat. If not for the Kayfun, I'd probably still be screwing around with it. And yes, the Kayfun is very expensive. Get yourself a $10 Phoenix Bully from GotVapes (or similar). You get top shelf flavor/vapor from that device. As good as Kayfun if you ask me. You just have to fill it 10 drops at a time is all. Takes a silica wick very well or cotton or whatever you want.

Bad news - Kayfun Mini stuck in customs. :grr:

Actually, my bad for not noticing In Taste sends their stuff FedEx by default if not notified otherwise. Also didn't find their International Shipping page till I wrote them about the possibility of having to return and resend by reg. post.

Here's the URL in case anyone else needs it: inTaste International orders
(Note: you may need to click the English language link after that window comes up.)

Right now I'm waiting for a reply from FedEx Thailand on next step to take.
