I've been thinkin about FT. First Bronze, now you. Also my son called me. Him and his wife are now vaping. He tried it a couple years ago and didn't like it. Think He desided to try again after I told him I was. Anyway he just ordered a Vamo V5 from FT. Well If I do deside to order something I'm not going to order just one item.:)

Can't beat the FT pricing. Just have to wait a couple weeks.

Oh.... OK... I did a very very bad thing... Now, people, don't get upset with me... I bought a kayfun 3.1 clone from FT. Now, before you get upset with me... I couldn't pass up the $21 price tag. To be honest, I'll root for the Yankees (blood, sweat and beards!) before I'd spend that much for an atty (re: full price for auth. Kayfun or Russian...lite and 91% also). I picked up an RSST for $27 a ways back and that was living large for me, as far as vaping gear is concerned. And I'm certainly not dropping over a bill on something that I might go "meh" and decide that it's not all that and a bag of chips. So I'm good with that. So I think I can live with myself... but, in full disclosure, I wanted to cop to it. :) So when it comes in and I start chiming in on Kayfun builds, postig pics, etc... people will know that I'm ridin' dirty. :)
Count me in your riding dirty posse Leo, 21 bucks hell yeah!

Yeah.. it can be hit or miss with Fasttech. One order came quick, another took forever.

So if you need something fast, Fasttech is not the way to go. Stick domestic.

I usually troll FT for deals, though. And that was a good deal, clone or not .. I've seen a few out and about, but at the three times the price.

There's something seedy about FastTech. They call it the Svoemesto Kayfun 3.1 trying to make people think they're gettig the real thing. It would be different if they just came out and said it was a clone and leave no doubt. But I don't see them doing any of that. I think I'm done with FastTech. Once is enough for me.

Bronze I do agree that they shouldn't use the 'original' modders name when advertising a clone. Hey for many people they wouldn't be able to try some of the toys without clones, but they shouldn't refer to the original name. Good example the K100 came from FT but they did not reference the Empire mod in their description.

It's just seedy IA. It says Svoemesto right on the device too. Their marketing techniques bother me. Deceit rules the day for them.

It is quite shady, but in the description, it does say that its Kayfun "styled". Plus, you can't get a USED 3.1 for $21. If one believes its the real thing, then they are clueless.

I'll just say that I've bought counterfeits, but only after I've spent for the real deal first and it was only for comparison. I'm no saint, but there is something very wrong about placing a maker's mark on a clone and deceiving anyone, be they clueless or not. Scrub that Svoemesto mark off, would be my suggestion.

Yep.. that is a bit off. The other clones out there are fairly straightforward with the branding... the most well known even carved out there own name (Russian). Why use the name? Just say it's a clone in the name.

A lot of Fasttech's clones are named different, but when you get them, like the V5 RDA I got than came with a big nimbus etched in it... why that name change, and not this one?

Obviously an attempt to cash in on popularity. But I doubt anyone thinks they are getting the real thing. At least I would hope so.

    But....

The big concern, though, is domestic sites getting these, marking them up at the real thing's price and ripping people off.

I actually think this has happened already... there is someone with a Kayfun and there was a pic they had that had something in it that didn't seem right... then I noticed the same odd trait on Fasttech's pictures... not going to go into details since I forgot where I saw the post...

When it comes in, I'll see if the thing is actually marked with the real names and such.

It's not FT per say. They are just a retailer. I own the Nemesis Clone (fantastic device btw, a few things that very slightly annoy me, but for $30 it was a steal), and it's made by H-Cigar I think.

I guess FT perpetuates the expansion of 1 to 1 copies, but it's not made by them, and the demand is huge. Trust me, I would love nothing more than to buy a real deal Nemesis, or join the club with you guys talking up the Kayfun. But there's just no way. Perfectly happy with my purchases. Do I like the fact that they copy logos, etc? No, I actually can't stand it. But the fact that I can have a good quality device and a good vaping experience at 1/5th the price makes me feel a bit better.

Edit: Really excited for your review of the Kayfun clone Leo. I'm having no luck with the RSST, just not getting the quality that I want. Maybe the KF Clone will work out better for me. Otherwise, I'm perfectly happy with my carto tanks =]

The problem for me is that there is no domestic! :(

I'll have to try Fasttech one of these days to see how they compare with Health Cabin. However, HC still takes a week to ten days (sometimes a little more).

Time for evening chores - got to clean out 3 ProaTanks and refill. Hm, what to fill them with? That's the biggest problem to solve - making the choices.

New ProTank coming out from Kanger if it's not out already, called the Version 3. Dual Bottom Coils, criss crossed, I just can't remember where I saw the link.

Too bad about the local options.

As for Fasttech, guessing there won't be that much different than health cabin in terms of shipping speed... FT can be quick, and it can take weeks.

Might be a bit... there is a two week lead time on the kayfun clone. I can wait though.

Have you tried RDAs? Like an IGO-l/w/s? I have an IGO-l, and with a microcoil in it, it vapes better than my well-sorted RSST. Awesome flavor... really... top shelf flavor. The two RDAs I have give the most full flavored vape of any device I've tried. And they are really cheap and easy to build to boot.

A little while back, someone asked about the origin of the Genesis atomizer. I knew the design was the brainchild of a German vaper and the "Genesis" brand came out of Croatia. Someone asked the same question on FB and this link showed up. Apparently, the originator of the Genesis style atty, Georg Raidy, posted his progresses here at ECF. It's an interesting thread for those who are curious.

ETA: And here's the post where he clearly announces the naming of his "invention".
