He went with the Navy Nest ... says so right in his post.![]()
For everyone here that ordered the kayfun 3.1 clone FT says they will be shipping in 5-8 business days and they are shipping them with free spare parts including a stainless steel tank section and a 510 drip tip adapter as an apology for the delay, apparently the manufacturer had problems keeping up with demand .
I still can't help look at it as just a Protank or Evod on steroids though. It kinda is...
I know.... But it is... You got a coil sitting at the bottom on top of the air hole... juice is in a tank around the coil chamber and it comes in via two little holes. Vape goes up a tube.
Evod!
What the hell is that!
Fiat 500 and Ferarri F12 are both Italian cars,

Evod!
Big difference between the two. The Evod (and like bccs) have the coil at the level of the juice intake and the wick is exposed to the outside of the chamber. The Kayfun's deck is raised above the intake level. Since the juice must fight gravity to travel up the channels, it depends entirely on the vaccum created in the tank. The result is a self regulating flow of juice much less prone to both flooding and drying. If the Evod were redesigned to raise the coil above the intake holes, it would be a much better device.
Hey bronze I was having some issues getting a consistent vape on my kayfuns on mechs. Not wicking good enough. So I reached out to X for a few pointers and low and behold there was a bunch of different wicking methods. The navy nest is by far the best way to get this thing running perfectly. The minute I got it built and vaping I could tell a difference. I thought one of my channels on one was not milled good enough and was blaming everything else but myself.
If you get a chance check out the vids on YouTube. The navy nest and the double strand navy nest. It's super easy to do and gives you a constant perfect vape. I am a believer. Now I want a 3rd. DOH

Smit...Craig put up a nest vid and I watched the whole thing. Interesting to be sure. But I haven't had a single wicking issue with my Kayfun from the very first draw. Maybe I'm lucky. Well, I am lucky. And that never happens so I'm just leaving it alone. But glad it is working for you.
Good plan of not messing with the Mojo, General. I haven't re-coiled any of my K-Lites, seeing as how well the twisted 32 coils are working. The only thing I'm doing is swapping out the cotton every 4 days or so.
