Yup im sure I am in rms mode. The protank two seems to do a bit better so I'll try that out for now

Ditch that dang air controller too. Protecting your threads is the least of your problems at this point.

Let us know how the Protank is going...let us know your preferred settings

Unfortunately it probably will be a month between the holidays and Fng Singapore post , I'm really not happy wit FT's decision on that , HK post usually took 10 days not bad considering it was free .

They said right from the start it will take at least two weeks to process my return to authorize the replacement. Add at least another two weeks of screwing around in the mail plus the holidays you point out and we're talking at least a month. Oh well.

Well I'm really disappointed, so far I have to keep the vamo to 5 voltts for the aspire BDC to even taste remotely well.

I'm sorry to hear that... From my experience, dual coils should really only be left to the sub-ohm mech and high voltage, stacked battery realm. Places that sell DC gear don't really warn that a dual coil needs twice the power of a single coil to get a good, strong vape.... so where single coils sit 6 to 12 watts (in general), dual coils really need 12 to 24+ watts. And even the best regulated devices (short of a uber-priced DNA20 mod) out there, on a single battery, need to be maxed out to just to get into the low part of the range and that may not be enough.

been over in new member posts and noticed that alot of them are having issues with knowing whether or not if their unit is working

so here it is a test light took an old Blu cartridge added a blue ( well what did you expect? green???) led to it along with the proper resistor. Just screw it in and press the button if it lites up, your good to go

It's just really weird though I cause because I crank up the vamo to that many ways it's giving off a very poor burnt flavor and a lot of people are saying the sweet spot is 7-9 watts for the Aspires. I am trying voltage mode in my pt2 though and it's working okay. I honestly believe it's just the flavors needing more steeping though so that's what I'm going to do

So I am thinking of getting a new PV. I can not decide for the life of me if I want another VV/VW device or a full blown mod.

I have been leaning towards a iTaste SVD or Nemisis Clone by HCigar.

I have no interest in doing sub ohm coils, so is there any real benefit to a mod other than not really having to worry about anything breaking?

If you use cartos and Clearos then imo a vv device is better. If you rebuild then i think the mechs are better. You don't have to swap batteries constantly to enjoy the vape. The battery lasts longer imo because it is being used at its voltage and not being over drawn by the circuitry... As in running at 5 volts on a 4 volt battery.

Everyone is different and I could just have bad luck but this is a list of vv/VW devices I have had.
2xsmoktech vmax
3 different versions of sigelei zmax
Itaste svd
Itaste mvp
Itaste vtr
Vamo v1
provari
Provari mini.
Maybe I am too hard on stuff or just have bad luck but out of all of those the only ones that still work without issues are the 2 provari.

Good ole Provari. And hence the lofty price.

VAMO3 Postmotrum:

Victim Age 4 -5 months
Generally in good cosmetic condition no major scars
No vital signs present

Status before arrival to Postmortum:
Semi conscious after physical activity
Unconscious after 10 minutes or more of resting
required quick sharp blows to body to recessitate
Became conscious for short periods then would lapse back into a comatose state
Recessitation efforts resulted in no response
Pronounced non-functional at 12:21 pm 12-21-13

Postmortum examination results:
removed metal encasement from base of head
Electrical artery and vein in good condition
Removed brain and found visual reference plate ajar
Noticed Arterial protective coating at base of head split and arterial termination point possibly making contact with base of head.
Cause of arterial protective coating detioration excessive prolonged contact with Nicotine/glycern compounds.

Could possibly transplant brain into another body???

Funny read, but sorry to hear about your Vamo!!

Another reason I am heavily leaning towards the Mech Mods, I am tired of giving companies money for something that craps out in a few months because they wont put decent parts on stuff!!

Who other than MP uses cotton yarn for their wicks? Trying to figure out the best way to use it along with how much is required. I've boiled about 6ft of it and have hung it up to dry.

I do. I use the peaches and creme stuff. 1 piece (all 4 strands) fits/works perfectly in a 2mm coil.

So you separate the strands fold over two strands and then pull through your coil?

I doubled over as it is and pulled it through.. which makes it 8 strands in a 2.3mm coil.

It had a bit of a taste to it when I first started using it, but seems to be fine now.

actually I just twist it up tight (4 strands) and slip it through, then untwist (fluff) a bit. And yes, it does have a bit of taste at first but wears off very quickly.

Gotcha!!
