Finally an error with a Provari ;)

The ring wasn't made by Provape, but a third party. However, the Provari isn't always accurate in reading voltages, I haven't noticed how well it measures resistance. So far it seems to be on par with the VAMO in that respect.

I miss my Reo :(

What happened, did you sell it?

My KFL sits tight up against my Pro Ring by Sotong too. No movement!

Chak, check the bottom screw on the KFL when you have it apart for next re-coiling. It may be a 1/2 turn loose.

That's exactly what I was thinking, Dusty. All that talk about backing up the screw so it's pointing a certain way isn't always the best solution. I had no problem with the airflow before that and still have no problem with it.

I regret not getting a better atty before trading mine. Every time I say to myself I'll get another, I think nahhhhhh get another kf...

Go ahead, pull the trigger. You know you want to… Bwahahahaha

Last night after drinking about 12 beers I decided I wanted to re-coil the KFC. So I went out to the garage grabbed my drill bit and supplies, came back up here and wrapped it up. Came out kind of low at 1.5, so I thought the beer must have made me miscount the wraps, no big deal its still functional and probably the best looking one I have wrapped yet. I decided to wick it using the "Navy Style" that I have seen people talk about a lot on other parts of the forum and it suppose to be better for higher VG ratio's. I use 20/80 (pg/vg) and have struggled a bit with wicking, but nothing terrible. I just noticed that at times it tasted a lot better than others.

When I loaded it up with juice and hit it the first time, it was like nothing I had experienced so far. Tons of throat hit, flavor out of this world!!

So this morning, I noticed that I had actually used a 1/16" bit instead of 5/64ths. I guess that would explain the lower ohm coil.

Not sure if it was the Navy Nest, the lower OHM wrap, the 1/16" diameter, or what but I think I have found the wrap/wick set-up for me.

Moral of the story, drink more beer!!

I've gone away from 1/16 coils to 5/64 because I can't feed the wick through the tiny hole:)

Oh, what is peaches and cream? Some organic nothing added cotton yarn? I've just been sticking with ye ol' cotton balls but that wick, although good, sure doesn't last long.

peaches and cream or sugar and cream are 100% cotton yarns (for crocheting etc) that you can easily find at any craft store, walmart, target etc. It's very inexpensive...just be sure to purchase white and I do boil mine for 20 minutes (changing water a couple of times) pat dry with paper towel and either air dry overnight or microwave for 30 secs if in a hurry. I just do a couple of feet at a time and that lasts quite awhile. Sorry..rambling...

What I find with the cotton ball wicks is they burn/deteriorate very easily even if they are damp. They must be saturated to keep them from burning. It makes it a bit of a challenge when using in a Phoenix RBA (or similar) because it's easy to mistime your refill. On the plus side, they are also easy to replace. And with gunky NETs, replacing often is required anyway.

So I pulled the trigger and bought it. The Grail 306 from Atmistique. I love the 306 bridgeless atomizers from Empiremods. Haven't found better flavor yet. Only problem is 5 pulls and redrip. Now I can fit 15-18 drops and vape forever before redripping. It's perfect on a spinner battery for light on the go vaping. Pretty expensive for such a tiny little thing but totally worth it. Don't have to drip and drive to work now. So happy. Figured I'd get myself a little graduation gift and splurge.

If you guys want info on it, VapinGreek and Todd do reviews on it and they love it. Don't have links but I'm sure most of you watch them regularly. Easy enough to find on YouTube.

Neo, I watched Todd's review. Where does the e-liquid feed into the atty? I can't tell.

That bottom piece of the three parts. The Atty screws in there and its got enough chamber to hold the liquid. When you drip it goes right through to the Atty and pours out into that chamber. That middle section completely seals everything off. No leaking from the sides unless you put way too much juice (comes out through the air holes). And the bottom section has its own sealed 510. No leaking from the bottom onto you posts.

So once filled, the liquid will feed from the lower chamber into the bottom of the atty?
