That's because you're usually 3 beers in when you start to build this stuff..

Could be… oooh look doze purty coils….

But really, I either end up squeezing too hard and the wires get crossed, or not hard enough and there's gaps, or the wraps on the ends are not the same size as in the middle (usually bigger outside).

Those crazy mods always remind me of one of the plans to get around the law if APVs get banned... some sites sells LED lights that thread in the 510 connector...

It's a flashlight!

My favorite one would double as a fan.

I still use a flip phone. I'm one of those dinosaurs who is afraid to be tethered to those things. :)

I concur all I see now-a-days is everyone always looking at these things texting, reading, walking into open manhole covers, off of subway platforms,etc... and the line of work Im in, I dont think a hand sized piece of glass will last more than 2 days around me.

I went from Nextel (when they only had 3 models) to a BlackBerry before color screens were even considered for any phone/PDA. I've stayed with BB since, but now that they're being forced to compete with the iPhone/Android crap they're not anything like what they used to be & they're losing all their strong points. Once this current contract is up, I'm done with it. At least with the BB, I don't need service for it to be useful. I'm planning on getting some VoiP & whatever cheap pre-pay phone is available at the time (which will probably very rarely even get turned on).

I think my biggest problem was getting into tech in the late 80's & seeing where it's going now. It was a fun ride through the 90's, but I want off now.

A few years ago my family (which is spread out all over the country) got together on a rare occasion (nephew's wedding). I had my five nephews together and me. Instead of enjoying each other's company, all five of them had their faces shoved into their phones poking away at who knows what...totally oblivious to my existence. What a waste of time. Next time I will just tell them to skype their weddings and I'll save the time and expense travelling.

I just find it rude that so many people are so hooked to those things that they cannot turn it off for more than five minutes to have a conversation. And take one away from a teenager and they act like their lives are over. Ridiculous!

I'm a bit younger than you old farts, but I'm pretty sure we're all sitting at the same bar.

It's nice to sit with the oldies and hear their stories of the "old days" and how they used to walk to school and back, uphill both ways!!

I finally got my stainless steel replacement parts in from FT and rebuilt my 3.1 KFC used some aftermarket ss screws and added some ss nuts to them , the nuts make capturing the wire 100% easier , got to get some more of them and setup the hcigar the same way , pif some to RJ too , hope the hcigar vapes as well as this one does , it's one hell of a vape .

It just makes me feel less old. A conversation got brought up the other day about the baby on Nirvana's Nevermind album. He's 22 now. This April marks 20 years since Cobain died. Smells Like Teen Spirit is playing on classic rock stations.
