I would probably chuck them, Buggs. Are they older than your other pair?
Great info. I was gonna ask that exact question of someone that had the aga t first gen. 1.5 x 4.25 it is. And 400 is all I got for now. I will order 500 when I order my 28g kanthal. But I'm getting there. Part of my problem was I was rolling my coil way too tight. Need to find the happy medium.

In my experience I found it works best to wrap the coil around the wick before you put the wick in the genesis. This allows you to wrap it easily and the coil will still not be very tight on the wick.

Unless you're using thick juice, use 500 mesh and roll it as solid as possible. Plus, lean the top of the wick toward the center post to minimize the distance of the top leg. That will solve top coil hot spot issues. The wick hole in the AGA-T is larger than the hole in the AGA-T2. I bore the AGA-T2 hole out to 7/64 and it works well. 1/8 would be good too, but if you do it by hand without a drill press, graduate sizes up from 7/64 or the bit will seize.
For the original aga-t I use a 1.5 inch x 4.25 inch piece of 500 mesh. Once you roll that tight enough to fit in the hole it should be a good wick. For the aga + I do a 1.5 x 3.75 inch piece of mesh.

No, they are the same age. You are probably right.
I'll be asking you again in a couple/few weeks. Yes, I have a drill press so I can use the 7/64". You'd be impressed with my drill press. It's older than dirt and built like a brick shlthouse!
Is it a Bridgeport?

No Smitty, nothing that big. It's still work bench sized. It's an old Rockwell...probably from the 50's. Everything is that heavy cast iron. Has an old wash machine motor on it, 1/2" chuck I believe with a spare chuck for even bigger work. She's a workhorse for a bench model. Maybe I'll take a picture of it tomorrow and show her off.
I used to work in a machine shop but was the "handyman" of sorts. Did a lot of everything but mainly delivered heavy metal. Got to do some pretty amazing things. I quite honestly loved it.

Agree with Scarf Buggs. They're cheap enough not to take a chance on. Get yourself a quality replacement battery like AW or Panasonic.
Are Efest batteries not as good?
Hey bronze i don't know if you are able to do coops, you may be able to jump in the AGA coop. Their are like 15 peeps that haven't paid. If not I think someone said they got one for 22 on Hoosier

I think, I'll be needing to get some 28 ga 400 mesh as well and/or some cotton yarn. Can anyone recommend a supplier that ships overseas? I'll have to order other gear as well to justify the shipping, but can't think of anything else I really need now.Something for me too look forward to. I might just get the 28ga and 400 mesh right from the beginning. I like the idea of everyone else taking the lead on these. I've done enough of that and want to avoid all the pitfalls this time. I deserve it.![]()
some 100% VG no flavor base liquid would be nice.Congrats Scarf!!!IT WORKS! IT WORKS!
I think maybe I had some help from beyond. Is it a coincidence that this particular RBA is nicknamed "The Zombie"?

Question about batteries. I have a couple of 18350's I use in a pair in my Varitube-3. I charged them yesterday. Went to put them in my mod today and got no juice. Put them back on the charger and the charger flashes from red to green to red to green....... They do this together or separately, in the charger. My other pairs of batteries seem fine. Any way to salvage the batteries or should I just dispose of them?
