Maybe even into the 10 - 12 or more watt range.. *shock*
There is a distinct difference in vape speed between the 1 ohm (4 wrap 28) and the .8 (3 wrap 28) that I had on my RSST. The 1, at a full battery, pulling down 17w, there is still a noticeable delay, like turbo lag.... when it did get going, it vaped great. At .8, over 21w, it would crank right quick.
But, that's 28g... thick, low resistance wire takes more current in order to heat up. With 32, that stuff fires up a lot faster.... so if it's still coming on a bit slow, it probably wouldn't take much to speed things up! If it's on a SS wick, espeically with a fair number of wraps, it could take a ton of heat. I know when I first built my RSST, I was reluctant at first since prior to that, on evods, if I pushed past 9, it'd get nasty.... I was surprised that not only was the taste NOT like sucking on burning styrofoam, I ended up with a rich, deep and dense vape that wasn't nearly as hot as I expected.
I'd try even lower on the resistance, if not for the whole "you're vaping a a short there, son" thing. And I'd probably have to do a helix of 28g or maybe 32g to avoid the hellfire that would ensue from pumping 30w through a 2 wrap coil.
