And what battery set up do you use in your SVD? I've always used 18650 mode in all my mods because I vape a fair amount. But I'm thinking of getting some smaller batts so I have the option of downsizing. Trying to figure out if one 18500 or two 18350's is best.

The up and down buttons on the svd take 2 presses to change wattage or voltage 1 turns on the screen 2 changes setting you can also lock them I'm always accidentally changing the settings on my vamo3 so point given to the svd. The numbers on the svd's screen are much larger and brighter so point given to the svd . I prefer the button and screen placement on the vamo3 but I'm used to the vamo3 so that might change when I get used to the svd . The threads on the vamo3's 510 connection are crap I use adapters and beauty rings to stop my protanks from wobbling and to protect my threads and center post on my vamo3 . The threads on the svd are much better , no wobbling at all and the center post is spring loaded so I don't have to worry about over tightening so point given to the svd . I researched all of this prior to buying and that's why I went with the svd instead of another vamo3 as backup but I do still like my vamo3 but the svd appears to be of higher quality . I'm using 18650's I'll try the 350's when I get that dual coil aspire tank their supposed to be better in a high amp situation .

David, it doesn't always fire. It's an intermittent problem. I lifted the spring to ensure contact but it doesn't seem to have helped. It also shuts down and I have to power it up again. Add that the right button doesn't click anymore (could be the cause of my problem) and the finish is completely gone and my VAMO is essentially kaput.

Not complaining though. It has been a solid device for a good six months. I use it half the day and was the one I took out with me. I'll stick with my Provari full time till I get the VAMO replaced. I see Fasttech sells the SS version for cheap (plus no shipping). That's where Bridget got hers. But I also see people complaining their Fasttech shipments are getting hung up.

I'm experiencing the same problems with mine, Bronze. intermittent firing, turning itself off. maybe signs of an old VAMO. My HD custom mod did the same thing before it died completely.

Oh, and mine is about a year old now too.

No news on the Kayfun mini, yet. Of course, I didn't expect any over the weekend. I'll need to call the lady at customs again tomorrow or Tuesday. Damn the really burns me.

Mine did the very first tank...and after it sat all night. Nothing since. Not even a molecule of leakage anywhere. Post some close ups of your wick Chak.

I wonder if I ordered from FT how long it would take to get it considering their holiday and battery xrays, etc. It sounds like Hong Kong is xraying everything...batteries or not. No?

If it starts leading like that (a sign of flooding due to over wicking) then you need to arrest the flow or out will drain the tank. Turn the tank upside-down until the air bubble rises up and frees the intake holes. While inverted, blow into the air intake hole. This will clear liquid from the chamber. Keep a napkin under the mouthpiece to catch juice. Once clear, swab the mouthpiece with a q-tip (all while inverted). Keep the tank inverted and make sure all the tank sections are screwed down properly. You should be good to go now. If it floods again, you should take it apart and rebuild your wick. It's not a sign of a clone at all. The tank functions on negative pressure built up in the tank. If the chamber floods, the pressure will force juice out the air hole like a siphon.

Bronze be careful if you do decide to pull the trigger on an svd I followed another thread and some people were having trouble with the fire button on theirs but the svd's from ft didn't have that problem another reason I went with ft also the panasonic 18650's I got from them have been flawless for the last 3 months .I'm getting 2 and a half days out of my 2250 mah bats and up to 4 days with the 3400 mah bats vaping 6 mls a day.

If they have the item in stock it says how many business days to ship on site , dont know how the holiday will affect HK post though , I've made 5 orders with them and 10 days was the longest I had to wait but 37 bucks for my svd was a steal.

When I first got my Kayfun I would get some leakage only to find out I did not screw the segments together all the way. I figured the orings would be forgiving. Not! Got to screw them all the way in.

Sounds like Hong Kong is inspecting every battery shipment. I'll get batteries elsewhere. I really don't need them. Just want to add some smaller ones so I can downsize. But I have 18650's here.

Yeah.. I had ordered a couple of RDAs and some drip tips last week.. hope they get out soon. Only other order from them took a little over a week.

Oh... that v5 Vamo, from the looks of it, is a V3 without the rifling. The v4 lacked the removable ring (which was stupid to ommit)... basically someone just gutted a 2 and put 3 internals.

My 3 is running strong two months in. The gunmetal finish is kind of a mess... not that I care, gives it a well used patina,.. the Fast 'n Loud edition.

Looks like a nice PV for the money. I'd be just as happy with the VAMO as I liked my VAMO very much. But we'll go with something different this time. Why not!

I saw a pbusardo review a couple of days ago and he made a remark about the provari's showing their age as in they need updating , wish they would do vw as well dna 20 mods cost a bundle too .

I saw somewhere they sell that board for the VAMO. $16 I think it was. Can't remember where I saw it.

That DNA 20 should be the defacto chipset. I know there are liability issues and maybe fools that need some proofing against... but make it happen people!

At ECC, I demoed a new PCB from EA Mods. It's still in development and from what they explained, it is regulated but is neither VV or VW. It seemed more advanced than the D20 (including reverse battery protection) and fires resistances below .5ohms. Specs may change and they don't know if they will release it as a standalone chipset or in a proprietary mod. I urged them to do the former as it would sell a zillion (hyperbole) units.
