OK.... I tried to find some o-rings for my injured Nimbus clone... no luck. I am guessing they use 1/32 rings... the thinest I could find at HD was 1/16.. too thick for the cap to slide over them. So I just grabbed some teflon tape and wrapped myself a little rope and tied it around the rda on the grove. No leaking, but the cap is a wee bit too loose for my liking, I can pull it off with the drip tip. Oh well, it was dirt cheap. :) I'll just add more tape until I get it to start acting like a seal I guess. At least the top o-ring is in tact.

I did drill out 2 of the 4 holes to 1/16... MAN, those things were tiny. Dual coils need airflow... two pinholes wasn't cutting it. And I wish they would have placed them a little higher on the cap though to give a little more clearance from the lip of the well.

I wraped two 1/16 10 wrap micros, came out to 0.7 ohms... so I'll be pushing 12w-9w.. exactly where I wanted it. With the micros and the increased air flow, it puts out an incredible vape....a loose draw (that I have really grown accustomed to) very dense vapor, lots of flavor, nice throat hit. Being dual coils, it is a bit on the thirsty side.

Legend's quite happy in its new home.

Actually, I wouldn't be buying one soon even if it got 5 stars from the General. Just made payment on the provari using a friends American CC and waiting for notification that the payment was indeed accepted this time.

I ordered the satin blue with the extension cap and the Pila Charger. Out the door at around $306 US.

Since I also fixed the problem with the intermittent firing of the VAMO by changing the cap spring, I'll not be buying anything else till New Year at least. Well, maybe I'll get the Kayfun Mini for X-mass, but other than that, I'm finished buying mods and accessories for the year.

Would if I gave it six stars?

And why did you pay $306 for your Provari? That's really high!

Looks like they are now(still open) and I might just buy another 5ml polypro for memory purposes.. I used nothing but vvv tanks for 8 months at one point. Still have 4-5 little guys... Ray was and will always be one of my favorite vendors to deal with..

Don't you dare. I have 4. You can have one!

My second Kayfun lite showed up today and wrapped a perfect coil for it.

Can't decide on cotton ball, cotton yarn or silica. Oh, did I see in here somewhere someone bought silica from eBay? Just curious who it was and how they like it.

What do you use to power the thing with?

I brought up the resistance a bit so I can use on a mech without over cooking the juice. I haven't gotten the exact amount of wick right yeah and get a dry hit every once and a while. Still somewhat new to Kayfun. Bit man when it's working the way it should the flavor is perfect. I just need a few more builds under my belt to get it perfect. The coiling I got down to a science the wick I am still tooling with.

Dusty that screw just looks like a different screw to be honest. Still works as it should

I have some 28ga on its way and will make a similar microcoil. I want to taste the difference between low 1's Vs high 1's.

I feel lower has it's advantages on certain devices. But I don't need super low ohms on the Kayfun lite. Flavor is unmatched in my opinion.

Vapediver on the KFL thread uses 26ga around 1.5 - 2.0mm ID to get about .7ohms. He said the fat wire takes up more heat and doesn't burn the juice. I'm a cool vaper and I'm a bit afraid that dropping my resistance will make things hotter. I'm holding out hope the thicker wire will compensate.

Yeah it's really only my 3rd coil on the KFL. Now that I have a second one I can experiment a bit more. I love the fact that they don't leak and I can take em anywhere. I just got a brass drip tip I am waiting for to complete my rig.

Where did you get your drip tip from? I just had a couple come in from driptipdesignz.com last week. I love them

Ghostmodder. I am a simple man so plain is my thing. I actually bought it from Xfoo. My favorite drip tip is a plain SS shorty tip.

I was scoping out those tips your talking about tho.

It does. The fact that you have so much more wire in there means the heat is distributed across a much larger surface area, leading to a lower coil temp, even though it might be at a significantly higher power output. Neat 'discovery' to be honest. About the only drawback that you can point to is that they take a smidge longer to get going than a 'traditional' coil at the same resistance... but that is a rather trivial price to pay for a much better vape.

Oh.... and the other o-ring on my new V5 just ripped... High quality :)

Nothing a little thread seal tape around the base can't fix. Now the cap is on there fairly tight. :)

Does anyone know where you can find really thin o-rings? I ran into HD yesterday and the thinnest I found was 1/16, which was way to thick for the cap to seat. Guessing the stock rings are 1/32 or so.

I like the brass ghostmodder, does yours have the logo?

I got 1 brushed and 1 polished brass 1/2" tips

There is an oring company that I gotta look to see if I can find the link. If Gummi Bear sees this he will be able to tell ya.
