I was not trying to be a pain about the batteries earlier. I simply wanted to emphasize the importance of the CDR rating in that link I sent you, particularly since with sub-ohm, the amperage the battery can safely deliver is critical. This is a significant safety issue in my mind, and I learned a lot about what all those numbers mean in battery ratings when I took my plunge into it. Much of my battery learning came from Baditude and Technonut, who know a whole lot more than me!

The recommendation that the vendor is posting about protected cells is counter to prevailing thought on the issue, which I see you already know. I misunderstood your post and thought you were planning to order protected cells. I just wanted to make sure you weren't led astray.

By all means Lion, I appreciate your input. I know you weren't trying to be a pain. Never entered my mind. You are sensitive about safety as I am (and many people on these threads). I sincerely appreciate folks giving me a heads up. Yes, I had been following the discussion on this thread about battery protection. Many chimed in. X gave a real nice primer on the topic awhile back. He taught us about the "safe chemical" feature on the unprotected batteries and how it prevented explosions. I knew I was going to use my AW IMR's in the mech and I was safe with that. I probably should have prefaced myself before posting the vendor's recommendation. I found their recommendation to run counter to prevailing thought too. I should probably write them and tell them. Not that it will make a rat's ... difference but at least I can say I tried.

Don't stop interjecting about safety issues Lion. I'd get ...... if you did.

Thanks :)

Bronze your Nemie is smexy;) My poor mods need so much attention, hopefully this weekend I can get things under control. I'm still perfecting my coils but have to say even with my crappy coils..my KFLs and my GP Spheroid are the best vapes I've ever had. I know..I just need to slow down and take a little more time with the build, then they will last me longer.

That light magnifier ought to help. I need to borrow that thing. :)

And yes, that Neme is sexy. The photo doesn't do it justice. In real time, it is very classy looking. I'm glad I went with the recommendations from the folks on this thread as well as the KFL thread.

Reveived the magnet rings yesterday and my nemsis(FT clone) is now spring free! The fire button is now much more smooth/(or smoother?? i dont know..) to push. I recommand all nemsis owners to do this.
Then the whole thing flipped from my hand and dropped from at least 160cm high to solid wood floor, nothing broken, thumb up to kayfun.

One step forward, two steps back? :)

I got to be honest with you RJ, I'm done with FT. I ordered only one item from them (an SVD). Besides the slow shipping times (which I can live with), I simply do not trust what I am buying from them. They are devious with how they market their stuff. And I don't know what is genuine from them. I wonder if any of it is. My SVD acted up only a month after I got it. I just do not like that place. I'm willing to spend 15% - 20% more from a reputable joint and knowing exactly what I'm getting. Just me.
Bronze have you sent the SVD back ? I would if it gave me any problems .

No I didn't Retic. I don't feel like screwing with it. I will keep the SVD as a backup. It works. It just powers itself off intermittently. It'll do in a pinch in the event I have to send my Provari off. I didn't have a backup for my Provari and that is what the SVD was for. It will be OK in that role. I'm past the 45 day refund threshold but I have six months for a replacement. I may send it back at some point when I feel more motivated. :)

General Innokin just came out with version 3 of the SVD , FT has them , they did list version 2&3 concurrently but now only version 3 . It's the same price so undoubtedly you'd get the updated model if you return for replacement , that would motivate me if mine were malfunctioning .

    You Have vape mail!!!

Yes, the KFL Plus just came in this afternoon along with 3 needle top fill bottles. Ten days from Germany, not too shabby.
Now to clean it up a bit, slap a coil on there and filler up! What am I going to fill it up with? hmmmm decisions, decisions…

I used the Aspire for 3 days this week. It's a pretty good vape. This is the ce5 ego style. It vapes well, TH and vapor are good. The flavor is great. I would recomend it. What I don't like is the fact it is 3/4 inch longer than my Evod. I did get some dry hits from it due the fact it can't keep up it you vape it too fast. And with duel coils it gets hot. I'll still use it but except for a little more flavor my Evod with a 5/6 wrap and 3.5mil wick does a little better. It can keep up with me. I'll still find a use for it, maybe here at home. The extra flavor is not enough to replace the Evod. Maybe a Kayfun mini can do that. If I deside to get one.:thumb:

David you're comparing a rebuilt Evod to a stock system , When I started vaping the Evod and Protank were pure frustration for me 3 out of 5 heads out of the box flooded with 100%vg and the rest giving dry hits , yeah now I got a box full of rewicked heads but part of me thinks that it was Kangers responsibility to put out a working product or call them RBA's because that's what it takes to get them to work properly , dang I guess I'm holding a grudge here but I definitely don't recommend Kanger products to noobs anymore .

I did get two of my KFL's and my Spheroid rebuilt this morning. I tried to be patient with my new coils so hopefully I will have better luck and have better luck with the dry burn and new cotton wick. My handy dandy magnify light was pretty awesome:laugh:

I am very jealous of that light magnifier. :)
