Nah CT. Robin's Provari hasn't influenced me in any way. Had it, I would have bought one instead of the LT I just got. I always knew I would own a Provari. But I never thought I would want one until I learned to quit abusing the mod that I have. I am terribly abusive of it. And no mod will last long with the way I have been treating them. So why spend $200 until I quit dropping and throwing my mod around? I'm getting a lot better so I'm getting close to springing for the Provari.

I agree with GT, I drop mine ALL THE TIME, in fact had a situation similar to Robin's where the thrad broke off a carto and remained in the Provari. I was lucky though and was able to get it out with a flathead screwdriver and didn't mess up the post. And two days ago, I darn near repeated the accident, the carto connector was half way out, so could still unscrew it, whew!

I do see possibly someday having to send it back to Provape, but I've had mine a year now, and works as good as the day I got it, with probably 50+ drops, some onto concrete surfaces!

EDIT: Now the dents it has created in our hard wood floors, continues to be a problem with the "boss" of my household!

I have all those tools. And I use 32g kanthal. And I probably could have made the wick a bit better but I will try again soon on the aga. I have a wick in there now that is way too thin for that hole. And it's running at around 2ohms. This one is 1.5ohms and man it's doing great. Took me a while to get it going but I have plenty of kanthal. Mesh on the other hand I need to get more of. I have 3 little squares left. Like I said though I wanna try ceramic eventually. I will grab some more mesh. Practice makes perfect. And I will do nothing short of becoming a master at it. Just in my nature. Maybe I'll pick up some thinner kanthal as well.

You don't want anything thinner than 32 gauge. If you're on a mechanical, most would recommend 30 or 28 gauge (the lower gauges are thicker). 32 gauge is good for a vv mod. Go thicker otherwise.

*Don't expect much. I'm on Tapatalk*

I'd agree, but Robin showed us it's possible. <ducks for cover>

Hahaha. You can't hide!!

Well, it wasn't the fall that hurt her Provari. :)

And I know this for a fact. After the fatal fall, I picked up both pieces and held it together so the contacts were made. It still worked, i vaped with it one vape. It wasn't until AFTER my bungled attempt at fixing it that I created the fatal blow.

It will likely arrive in what may be another historic snow event here in New England...if I can make it out onto my small stoop, I shall wave it proudly. A little nervous. This is somewhat of a step for me. I went from an idiot-proof iPhone to a Droid about a year ago, and that was not a good move. So from eGo to Vamo...hoping the learning curve isn't as great as the phone one was.

I think I'm getting ready. I really want to try! So...question for the experts...which do y'all recommend...the Phoenix RBA or this AGA-T2? Which is easiest for a beginning? Which gives the best vape?

While I don't know the Phoenix, I love my AGA-T2. Fairly easy to set up and very well built for being Chinese.
I have mine set up with a silica wick at the moment, and it's silly good. Setting it up with silica is very easy and really delivers.
After a little use the coil measures in at 1.2ohm, and I hit it with 15watt on the Vamo or in my mechanical mod, and it's just fantastic.

Both are totally different and both give great vapes.

The Phoenix is a dripper with a rebuildable coil. You can use silica wick or cotton if you like. I've seen videos using ss mesh but I wouldn't even try it. With a silica wick, you won't have to worry about shorts. If you can wrap a coil around a piece of string, you can rebuild a Phoenix. The hardest part about the Phoenix is how small the parts and working area are. You need good eyes and a steady hand. It's not unlike rebuilding coils for a Vivi Nova.

The AGA-T2 is a genesis style RBA. You can certainly use silica in that as well, and if you do, it's very simple to build and you won't have to worry about shorts. The best vape you'll get from a genesis is with stainless steel mesh wicks and kanthal wire. If you're on a regulated vv device, use 32 gauge wire, but if you're on a mech mod you can get to genny bliss by using 28 gauge wire and wrapping 1ohm coils.

If you're totally new to RBAs and wrapping coils in general, I would start with a Phoenix. Use 32 gauge wire with that. Look up videos on YouTube about building coils on each device. Baby steps. If you have questions, post here or feel free to PM me.

I just ordered a Vamo. Being stranded in the snow has me online way too much.

The Vamo is a reliable device for the cost. I have a ss model and a gunmetal with a second ss on the way from a coop. I'm putting the gunmetal one up for sale in the classifieds today or tomorrow. I'm digging the stainless and my other is getting neglected.

You'll do fine Amy. It's a step up. Any problems, just ask. There are lots of Vamoids around here. But you'll love it.

Thanks! I got a Stainless one from Smoktek, with the new spring on it. I like the idea of having something that will last without the need to purchase additional "disposable" batteries. Knock on wood though, my eGos are going strong two months in. Now I may need to place another HHV order....Crackberry is, alas, gone.

Before long you'll be schooling someone that gets a new device. We were all basically in the same boat and there is something new to learn everyday. And if you make it a hobby like I have you will almost feel like a mad scientist. Making stainless wicks, wrapping coils, building dripping attys, all kinda if good stuff. You'll do just fine.

Ain't nobody got time for that! While I would love a hobby...four kids, a dog, and nursing school doesn't allow much time! I was checking out an AGA-T today and got skeered and buried the thread. Knowing my obsessive personality I'll be checking it out again tomorrow...

Lol I'm with ya. Work, 2 kids, honey do list when I get home. So at that point in too tired. Only time I mess with it is when I get a 5th wind. And just the fact that you were checkling out an AGA-T means you are starting to get the urge. I love mine. Just cleaned it out as a matter of fact. Gonna try and set it up again this weekend.
