I did it! I am so excited! I ordered a Phoenix rba and wick and wire today...all from Mountain Oak Vapors. The rba was on sale for $8.99. (I think, I don't have my glasses on...let me go get them so I can see!). OK...I can see now. I got 15 feet :)ohmy:) of Kanthal A-1 32 gauge wire, and 6 feet of 2 mm silica CE2 wick. With the TUC discount code for 10% off I only spent $20.88. I am pumped! I can't WAIT to get it and start rebuilding my Phoenix ANNND my Vivis. WOOT! :w00t:

:vapor:

RJ you can go to any craft store and get sugar and cream white yarn. 100% USA grown cotton. Much better flavor then silica. But you have to have it wet before you burn. 3 bucks for 120 yards. I have wrapped a few wick and coils with this and I can say wow.

+1 on the above. I rebuild my Phoenix with cotton yarn and the flavor/vapor is great. I don't know if it's better but I can tell you it's a lot easier to pre-coil wire around a nail and thread it with yarn than it is to do tight wraps around silica. I bought a roll of yarn for $4 that'll last me forever. I'm only saving my silica for Kanger Evod rebuilds.

I use this method to make cotton wick coils for the Phoenix (and/or Nova heads)

Yeah the video on the MOV site showed that guy doing it with yarn. I have a LOT of yarn in my closet as I crochet...but I don't think I have white. But when I made the order I just wanted it now and all in one place to get started. I really like the idea of yarn. So cheap and easy to buy. I'll be getting some of that too soon. Thanks for the reminder! The only other thing I need to stock up on is nic base. I'm waiting on Wizard Labs to start selling it again. And I say I'm done...but you all know how THAT goes. That Aga-T2 looks good too. :D

I had TWO vapemails today! I got my altsmoke order with mini Vivis and heads. I absolutely LOVE the black tanks...I'm all about black. Cars and clothes and almost everything...so a black tank fits me. LOVE THEM! And I got a blue one too. I also got my second Mtn Vaporizer mech mod as a backup to my first one. That reminds me...I need to go try it out and make sure it works.

Been a super busy shopping week for me. I ordered my son's spring/summer wardrobe as well as spending some of my gift cards for my clothes. We really needed some stuff. And I feel I'm ahead of the game this year...I'm usually a day late and a dollar short.

Credit card is SMOKIN'!

Awesome video! I think it's very telling that he doesn't show threading the yarn through the coil. LOL! This makes me even more excited! I mean it looks so easy...at heavy magnification. Doing it myself I'm sure will be a different story until I get the hang of it. I think I need a magnification thingy to even be able to see all this stuff! Question: Does the yarn have to be boiled and air-dried before using? Another question: I don't have an ohm reader...is it absolutely necessary? I guess I should put that on my list too. What kind should I get? And thanks for the help!!! :)

You really should have something that will test your ohm's. If you have a short anywhere, better to know that than to hurt your device. That's one of the reasons I wanted the ProVari, I can check the head after rebuilding and it won't hurt anything. (if I'm remembering correctly)

It's not telling at all. It's the easiest thing in the world to do. Just moisten the end of the yarn and thread it. It's the one thing you can't do well with silica. The cotton wicks faster than silica as well so you get really full flavor. You just cant dry fire the coils with cotton yarn or it will burn.

I don't boil my cotton. I just bought 100% organic unbleached. No chemicals in it.

You absolutely need a resistance meter if you're building coils. The simplest is this one but if you get into genesis building and mechanical mods, you should get a digital multimeter to be able to check battery voltage, resistance, and current. The latter is more advanced. Just worry about the ohm checker for now. :)

Ha! I'll get there eventually Ice. How much do they get for one of those fancy Genny's now?

I have one on the way from Discount Vapers, an AGA-T+ for $30. Comes with a glass tank. I also have some SS mesh and wire for building. Of course, you can get a ZAP for like $150 from Provape. No sense sullying your elite PV with substandard junk on top ;)

Hey Bronzy I just got 2 AGA-t2's for the price of one. Get up on one of those coops. There is one going on now that i just made. If you try you may be able to get on the back up list if someone drops. Thats all you really need man. don't dump a lot of money into an expensive one. The AGA-T2 is very well made. And you got a provari?!?!?! Very nice
