After reading Icepoet's review of the ProVari I am aware of two things; 1) I am WAY out of my league trying to talk tech with some of the more in-tuned people around here. Heck, I'm just a trucker- ask me about wieght limits, bridge laws, load stabilization, routing, etc. and I'm doing pretty good. But the variance of this circuit chip vs that chip- how about I just leave that to the smarter people. 2) I am kinda struck by Icepoet's less than glowing comments about the threading on what is a high-end PV. Any Tube/ Mod/ Battery has to 'couple' to an atomizing device to produce vapor, right ? Now, I could be setting myself up here- I just dished out $260 for a VVGrand/ Baterries/ Charger, and I have never used a Grand before. Hope it's as indestrucble as my mini with VV aspect of my Twists, but time will tell. As far as what is and isn't- I'll leave that to people smarter than an old truck driver ! :)

The threading on the provari isn't the problem.. The entire vivi nova from the threading to the muting to the leaking and so on is the problem. I don't understand how people, especially people that build their own coils for high end pieces even use such crap. My opinions here. I have vivi novas up the .... and honestly i don't know why I'm holding onto them as they'll never get used. Even my girlfriend who knows nothing bout ecigs other then what I physically put in her hand doesn't like her novas anymore. They are just carp. You can spend less for better equipment.
I liked that review though.

Now I want a Vamo. Only $29 or thereabouts? Now that's more my style. Where do you get them? But I still love my twists. OH! I just remembered!!! Today marks 7 months smoke free and if twists can do that...they deserve a medal! I've always wanted a blue one...in celebration I may just order a couple more twists. I need another drip tip too....I only have one with the wide dripping area. I need another one! I've missed getting vape mail.....

I liked the review as well- seemed honest, strait forward and imformed to me. But what do I know ?
Thanks for the clarification on the Vivi Novas. My Vaping Mentor warned me earliy on to aviod cartos/ clearos/ tanks. He's been vaping for about five years so I would imagine the stuff he started with is outdated by now. He also works at a desk, so dripping into an RBA on his GG is the way for him. Thanks for the heads-up on the Vivi novas, I'm on the go way too much for anything like that.

I whipped together a vivi LR set up the other day with high hopes and I was quite disappointed. The flavor was soooo muted it almost made me mad. I used what came with the kit and have a couple vivi's. Man I was hoping that it would prove me wrong but it was just too blah for me. I will say that carto's and RBA's are the best for flavor profile.

I haven't had any issues with mine. I've read of the 'rare' issue now and then, but
pound for pound, considering all of the people who bought them, there is not a
significant number of problems to say the Vamo has issues. It wouldn't matter what
we bought, one of them every now and then is going to have a baddy.

But, I do agree with 'that remains to be seen.' I've had mine maybe three months or
more now, but I want to know if it's going to last for a few months, a year, a few
years? Right?

I paid $29. If it lasts a year, I got way more than my money's worth. I mean, that's
like $75 a month. No, wait <shoes fly across room and counting commences>. OK,
that's like $14 a year. Dang it. Hold on... oh, never mind. But it's less than a dollar-
two-ninety.

But, I don't know if they make any mod with electronics in it that will last several
years. Even Provari is afeered to give you more than a year unless you pay for the
extra warranty. So, what do you think - how long might a good mod with regulated,
VV, VW, etc. last?

No clue Biv. I really like this VAMO though. I've been locked in VW mode. It's nice for switching up attys a lot. No need to check resistance and reset the voltage. Geez, we've become lazy bastiches!

Ice, I really enjoyed your Provari review. It was spot on. I agreed with every point you made. After messing with this VW VAMO, I dig the ability to thread and go. I find I am switching up flavors more often. Helps with those rich and/or fruity vapes that get old quick. Ida would benefit from VW. That said, one has to feel confident in a Provari. It is a rock solid Mod albeit pricey.

For the ultra lazy, someone needs to come out with a connector similar to a pneumatic coupler. Just push and go. Then all you'd need to do is find someone to vape it for you to make it totally effortless.

A Quick-Coupling Clearo, General ? Add a small, screw type pnumatic pump at top of battery/ beneath coupler and just push the button and let the mod 'blow you' !   What ever happened to.....(fill in the blank) :)

The BCC Mega

Pretty nice device. It's about the same size and aspect as a full size Vivi Nova, but that's where the similarities end.

The biggest difference is that the Mega is a bottom of coil.

Another difference is the connection. Threading is much better, and the positive post is solid and flat, as opposed to the Nova's slotted deal with a hole in the center.

It's light, due I think to the caps being aluminum. It must be removed from the mod and filled from the bottom.

It works good, but needed a little fiddling. At first, it was giving dry hits (with high VG juice). It would hit sorta ok with low volts and no chain vaping. Very unsatisfying. I considered removing a wick to help the juice flow, but chose instead to shave a tiny bit off the bottom of the silicone cap that sits on the coil head. Hits great now, if a tad gurgley when the tank gets low. I feel it may have no issue when using a thinner juice.

Overall, nice little tank. Looks nice too.
