The BCC Mega
eze3y4eq.jpg

Pretty nice device. It's about the same size and aspect as a full size Vivi Nova, but that's where the similarities end.

The biggest difference is that the Mega is a bottom of coil.

Another difference is the connection. Threading is much better, and the positive post is solid and flat, as opposed to the Nova's slotted deal with a hole in the center.

It's light, due I think to the caps being aluminum. It must be removed from the mod and filled from the bottom.

It works good, but needed a little fiddling. At first, it was giving dry hits (with high VG juice). It would hit sorta ok with low volts and no chain vaping. Very unsatisfying. I considered removing a wick to help the juice flow, but chose instead to shave a tiny bit off the bottom of the silicone cap that sits on the coil head. Hits great now, if a tad gurgley when the tank gets low. I feel it may have no issue when using a thinner juice.

Overall, nice little tank. Looks nice too.

Ah Ice...thanks for taking one for the team. I know those are not cheap feeders. But I think I will spring for one. Can the drip tip be changed out? Don't like the stock one that comes with it. Regular 510 tip?

Here's the link again if anyone is interested.

Bronze, you can get em for 2 bucks cheaper at gotvapes, maybe elsewhere as well. Yes, you can use a 510 DT with it. I don't recommend modding unless you have to. My trim job causes a bit of leaking, though the juice mainly goes UP the tube rather than down to the battery. It's minor, but it's there, FYI. I still kinda like it though.

They look awesome. My concern, however, is too cool of a vape and reduced throat
hit because of the bottom coil. Overcome my objections if you can.

Well, actually a buck cheaper at GV. Can you rebuild those bad boys?

Biv, I can't see that the extra 1/2 inch that the vape travels makes a whole lot of difference, but YMMV

But it does. There is a big diff between the T3 (same bc) and a top coil clearo. So,
it makes me think there would be a diff here. But, it is probably worth trying one of
these.

I'm not a fan of the VapeOnly. Major muting for me, but I'll clean it up, try some of this lovely Huntsman in it, and report back.

I'm going to swim against the tide and mention that I really don't like the VapeOnly BCC Mega. I've not nothing but trouble with my two. They don't have the leaks of the Kangers, but what they do have is the dry hits and burning. Granted, I've heard you can fiddle with them to make them wick better, but as a wise woman once said, "ain't nobody got time fo' dat."

Why I'll spend an hour on an RBA and don't want to mess with a clearo, I couldn't tell you, but I just can't work up the motivation... so my VapeOnly BCC's have been sitting in the bucket of emergency gear for a couple weeks.

This is another one of those things I've reviewed elsewhere, in case that wasn't enough detail for ya.

:)

Good thing the Vape Squad is on the case :D I concur with your review; I had the same dry hit problem, and you're right, it can be remedied, but wouldn't it be nice to not have to? I like the threading tho, it sits true on my PV with no wobble, unlike my Novas. I hate to even put one on that Provari. I'm afraid it will bugger up the threads. The BCC is hitting just fine atm, been using it all day, no dry hits, good vapor. I'm running a 2.2 ohm head (that reads 2.3) at 4.2v, btw.

I did like mine at first. I'd heard people complain about the dry hits, but was sort of like, "I have no idea what you mean, mine are working ... ack!"

I will admit mine came in handy last time I was traveling -- unlike Kangers, they didn't leak at all, even when I had to check my carry-on. I could rant for hours about what Kangers will do to your zip-lock bag of liquids if you send them up to 30,000 feet. It's not pretty.

Funny you mention that. I just picked up another genesis. I still have issues rolling the "perfect" wick, but when it's set up properly the vape is AMAZING. I also really want to pick up a Terminator to see if I have the patience for the setup involved with NR wire. The pluses of the Ody/Penelope are very appealing to me, but I can't justify the price of the real thing. OTOH, I have two Mini Vivi Novas just sitting here collecting dust. I've only found one juice that works well in it and I haven't been craving that juice lately, so they just sit. I've read about how much better they work rebuilt, but I just either don't believe it or don't care enough to try. I guess I should give it a fair shot at some point, though. Need to find some cotton wick first.

Last time I flew, I carried on all of my liquids with no issues from TSA. I wouldn't dare check my liquids - I'll buy a new toothbrush and underwear if my checked bag is lost, but there is no way I'd risk them losing my juices!

HUGE difference IMHO. I broke out a CE3 the other week and fired it up and was like oh my. Any BC I get much cooler vape. And less TH. I am even struggling with the genesis style vape. But the flavor is on point with a genny. Just my 2 cents.

I would like to chime in on the BCC Mega issue. I did not trim the cap like Ice did. I removed the top wick like PB did in his review. I found this to be quite satisfying. It really only takes a few minutes, pulling the stem is the hardest part. Once you get past that, it really does provide a very nice, leak-free vape. Yeah, I wish I did not have to fiddle with it, too. But I have yet to find a clearo I am completely happy with out of the box. I have had no satisfaction with the T3's. They actually make me 'battleship' level angry.

This is main the reason I am getting one of those AGA-T2's and learn how to do the wick thing I swore I would never mess with.

Yup Buggs, I and Strat both like the Vmod 2.0. Imagine so since I have 3 of them:D

1.5 ohm atty's from vapage work really well if you like hot vapes. 1.7 or 1.8 ohm is where I like some juices and I believe it comes with 2.0's which are good for cooler vapes. Strat only uses the vapage 1.7 ohm cartomizer although it isn't for me.

There is a short learning curve on how and when to "squonk" the bottle. I bring 2 vmod's with me to work everyday. Tomorrow's load out is Huntsman in one and VCV Campfire in the other.
