Watch Bronze come in and renounce Genny's because he does not want to go that high.. says I as I'm happily vaping away on my RSST with wire rope wick at 10 Watts. ;)

Whoa, what a difference some watts make! Now I too am happily vaping away on an AGA-T2 @ 12 watts. Cheers Dusty, :toast:

EDIT: Now this is some awesome Dragon's Fire, oh baby!!! Whoot! :w00t::thumbs:

Gennys need higher wattage to function. Watts don't equal heat. There are other factors to consider, the most important being the heat transfer from the coil to the wick. You will never get a vape on a genny at low wattage. That doesn't mean the vape will be hot, though. The chamber and the air hole aid in cooling, but generally speaking, genny vaping isn't for those looking for a cool vape.

Trying at 10 watts on my Vamo. Getting more vapor. My DF doesn't taste like DF anymore. It tastes like latex paint. Maybe this wick needs to break in?.

Congrats on taking that step, General!

Do keep in mind that Shorts or Hot Spots that were not apparent at much lower wattages, will creep in and be glaringly apparent at higher wattages. When I start tweaking a coil and wick, I always start them off dry, at low wattages, and then slowly raise the voltage/wattage to where I want it to be. Once confirmed that I see even glow, and no hot spots at that wattage, it's only then that I add juice.

With that being said, you may indeed just need to break in that wick/coil combo. Usually takes about a tank to settle in.

Yup. All things considered, your juice will generally taste different in a genny. Some will taste better than you ever expected. Some just don't work. I never liked HHV NETs in my gennys, but other tobacco flavors do great as do most fruit flavors.

I did test for hot spots while dry Dust. But I was probably at my customary 5.5 watts when I did it. I will remember to bump it up to ensure it is consistent even at the higher watts.

Thanks Dust.

I need to order more mesh. And if I'm going to run this on my Provari or VAMO, would you recommend 28 or 30 ga. Kanthal? The 32 ga was giving 1.8 ohms at 4 wraps.

I get some similarities from this Genny as I do my RBA's. But overall, it is different. But I have been reluctant to make a final assessment until I feel confident it is properly broken in and set up correctly. What are your wire recommendations using on a regulated PV? I'm thinking I might be getting close to the PV limits. No?

Thanks David.

I've got two AGA-T2, I think basically the same as the AGA-T+. Can't remember what the difference was.
These two have satisfied my curiosity about Gennies and RBA's. I don't see any more in the near future for me. I'll play around with these till I get it perfect. Like Pappy and Papaw, I just don't have the time to fiddle and play around with them that much I also like the K.I.S.S. theory too much.

It was $35. From what I've read it's similar to an AGA but higher quality

I just wanted to share this with the Heavenly Army folks. I just got my MVP and Protank in the mail. I can't believe the difference it has made for me. My juices are coming alive again, better than they were before. I'm vaping Dew right now and it's so clean and crisp. I love it. Once this runs out, I'll fill it up with some Legend. :vapor:

I didn't know vapor production and flavor could be this good! Happy vaping everybody!
