I don't think you have to worry about scuffing the Zenkote... PBusardo was getting a tour by Zen in his shop. Zen chucked up a Zenkoted tube in his lathe and spun it up... He then used heavy grit sandpaper ( 80-120 grit ) on it... didn't touch it, just sort of polished it more... he finally took a die grinder to it while it was still in the lathe and barely got it to scratch the surface some.

That's very cool! I've been meaning to watch that video. I'm very relieved to hear that it's hard to scuff because I am a total klutz. Sounds like this thing can even survive me.

Nevermind.. 2nd joke that's fallen flat on it's behind this evening. I'm locked away in my den because I made a joke that my wife did not find funny .. at all!

I think I'm going to find something to watch on Netflix and just park myself on the couch for the next few hours!

Aw, no worries. I hope you manage to enjoy your time-out. Hope you grabbed a beer before you headed in there. ;)

I find the less I talk the better my life is. I learned how to be quiet decades ago and now I'm an expert at it. :)

I'm working my way there.. slowly! learning as I go..

Here's the deal. Humans are all the same. It bothers us when something is said or done that requires us to reply. But we can also train ourselves. To let something go unreplied is very hard. But you have to force yourself to shut up. You make that conscious effort to zip the lips. And you keep zipping your lips. Again and again and again. What you find is over time, it gets easier and easier. At the same time, you learn to block out the things that once compelled you to reply. I could sit an entire evening and not speak 10 words all night and it wouldn't bother me a bit. :)

IMO, women need to learn to be able to laugh more, especially at themselves. That's what I've been learning - slowly - anyway. Not that humor should be mean. Females just tend to take everything so personally, and get offended too easily. Raising daughters has been like living in a minefield. And I no longer tip-toe around their fragile egos. I tell them to put their big-girl pants on.

Okay - /rant. :)

Probably only pertains to about 3/4 of us... the other 1/4 are introverts ( like myself ) whom are more comfortable keeping to ourselves in contemplation. Of course, we still enjoy company so shouldn't be confused with someone that is anti-social which is another thing entirely.

Of course that doesn't make what you were trying to get across any less true ( about being quite etc )... I find myself getting into more trouble or being misunderstood only after having said something incorrectly ( from what was intended ).

Absolutely. I can carry on a totally normal conversation with anybody including strangers if need be. Completely comfortable with it. And I am who I am whether I'm talking to a hobo or celebrity. So yes, being quiet is one thing. Being anti-social is completely another.

Who the heck do you think the joke was about? Didn't take long for everyone else to realize that she was the only one not laughing. *shrug*

I'm sitting quietly in my Den, building MONSTER 3mm ID 26g coils for the Magma. I've got the two coils built, and they're HUGE!! I thought I had enough wire to do 12 wraps each side, but only got 10 each, after leaving an inch or so on each end for the legs. Gonna mount them up and report back..

I made a pair of 26ga (1/8"/3.17mm) 12 wraps on my Plume Veil and could not get them to glow for seemingly an hour. :)
