Yes! I was thinking that was a big part of it. Looking forward to hearing how it goes for you, Bridget. Next time I rewick, I'll try a different amount too. I use 60/40, but I have some 100% VG to test with too.

Maybe the rayon doesn't have a spigot on it. It just keeps wicking it up and it lathers the coil up before it stops wicking. Perhaps it transfers the juice instead of absorbing the juice and it just waits for something to stop it...in this case, once the coil is drowning in juice.

I dunno but I have some HHV in 20/80 that will pop on occasion , 70/30 even more so , 100%VG almost never and not ever as loud as the juices with PG in them , just my experience so far , let me know what you find with 100%VG LA .

I just rewicked my Heron with organic cotton instead of rayon , 100%VG and no popping but Yuck , cotton taste big time , I can't believe the difference in taste now that I've been using the rayon for awhile . Dam I used to vape this stuff ? Uh Uh back to rayon .

The pop is only a problem if you forget - hot juice in the face is not fun.

I vaped with organic cotton wicking for a long time , don't remember the breakin period taking that many hits or the flavor being that pronounced , I wouldn't care if my atty sounded like the fourth of july now , the rayon is back in and staying in , that was just yuck , I haven't tried the japanese cotton yet but organic is off the table now completely .

Exactly! We humans can adjust to a lot of things. It's not that cotton necessarily tastes like crap, it's that it is different than what we're used to in some cases.
