I stuffed as much rayon as possible in my coil last night, still pops. Will try the cotton again next refill...sigh.

Is it seriously that loud and/or disruptive? I've been trying to see if I can replicate the pop on my KFL's and I've not been able to get one of the three I tested to do it.. all I get is a sizzle sizzle with an occasional soft pop if I hold down the fire button without taking a hit.

Beyond the first soft pop my coil is quite.

I've got a feeling that a Pina Colada on the beach will help Bridget forget about her snap, crackle, pop KFL:D My vape gear is a mess again...guess I just do too much drop and run...get what I need then stuff things back in the drawer. That will be one of my projects when hubby is gone hunting in a couple of weeks. I probably should also totally disassemble my KFLs for a deep cleaning. Haven't done that since I started using them. Don't have any issues but I do have a UC cleaner waiting to be used:laugh:

Um, I don't wanna.. Rayon is sooo much easier and a better vape for me.... I haven't touched cotton since Calve sent me a bag of rayon!

Edit: But I might if I can't adjust the rayon to make it stop!
Mine popped with cotton too, so that's not the answer. I agree with Dusty and Bronze on it over wicking, which btw, can lead to leaking too. :D

EDIT: Like DavidOh, I like the little explosions in my mouth. Kinda makes my cheeks puff out a bit.

I think you're on to something there Dusty. It sounds, and feels loud because it's happening in our mouth. I bet if a person was standing next to us when it happens they wouldn't even blink an eye. Unless, of course, you have your mouth partially open, then the sound would resinate in the open cavity. :2cool:

OK, someone please explain for me, worth $200 or so; Why are dual coils really so much better ? Or is it just cloud chasing ?
While your at it, where could I get a small amount of this Rayon to try, and is that good for running say dual 1.0 ohm coils (0.5 actual ohms) ?
Finally, why is this money just itching to be spent ? It's not like I don't already have enough quality equipment....

well lets see dual coils provide twice the vaporizing power ( due to surface area) at the same voltage, it increases vapor/flavor density/throat hit...as far as a small amount?? just about any beauty shop which does hair dying has it.... or any decent vape shop will have some for sale at astronomical markup.
umm you have a case of shineyitus or GAS... ;)

You can get lower resistances with dual coils for those who like to power vape. In addition to adding all the things Killer listed, it also increases the heat...which to some (me included) also kills the flavor. But it is strictly a preference thing. I much prefer single coil and don't notice a significant difference in vapor and throat hit (though there is a small difference IMO). But there are many who prefer dual. I would give it a try Pop just to see if you like it. Dual coils generally need a lot more power to get those coils to heat up so be prepared to drain your batteries quicker. But that is a small price to pay if you really like dual coil vaping IMO.

If you do continue to use the same size/build of coil and don't change your voltage/wattage setting... using two coils will halve the resistance, increasing the heat and also increasing the amperage load which results in you using up your batteries quicker. ( You could also double the resistance of the coils and keep the same resistance if you choose too, but I wanted to keep it simple in the discussion ).

By using two coils ( of the same resistance as you did with one )... you increase the surface area that you can vaporize the juice from. This just means that you will get more vapor... flavor is harder to say what happens since other factors affect it...

Flavor also has smell as part of it's equation... in addition, if you heat up the juice too much ( or not enough ) you won't be making the exact same chemical changes... so your flavor doesn't automatically increase depending on what happens chemically to the juice. As Bronze mentioned, if you increase the heat a lot and go to far with it... you can even loose flavor. It can also have the same effect in reverse if previously you weren't heating it up enough originally for the proper chemical changes to happen... you can also end up increasing flavor. So for flavor ( or smell )... changing the heat and altering the chemistry differently can add to or subtract from the flavor you experience.

I agree with the answers so far. Others may have already offered, but I'd be happy to send you 10 ft of rayon from the 500 ft I bought. PM me if you'd like. :)

I give my wallet to my wife before venturing into Q's threads. I was at work when I read the Erlkoenigin thread and we all know what happened then..

Rats. I was subscribed to that thread but successfully ignoring it lately.

I detect VERY little self-control on this thread. :)

Whachu talkin' 'bout?!
